If your sure you have enough space you should be able to install. otherwise try the other disk.

Age of empire gold editoin keep freezing at 100% during install. Have Windows XP, enough free space and all other system requirements. This seems to be a big problem with this disc. I have run scan disk...

Are you having problems with the installation OR running the game?
If installation freezes at 100%, try waiting a little bit longer. It can take a little while for the installer to finalize the installation process.
You could also try copying the contents of the CD to your hard drive and running the installer from that. That way, the installer would no longer need to read from your CD-ROM to complete the installation. If you encounter an error while copying, then your CD is damaged and you might not be able to install it properly.

Hello my problem is that i cant install age of empires 2 on my pc... when i press run it says c:users\george\downloads\age-of-empires-2.exe is not a valid win32 application... what should i do???please...

There can be multiple causes for this.

1) It is possible that you're clicking on the age of empires game already, but while age of empires isn't on your PC yet. Meaning you should Install the game another way. Just go "Start" > "computer" > (E:) drive. This should start up the game properly.

2) If this is not the problem, the problem might be that your data is corrupt or just damaged. Make sure your CD is clean. If you're not using a CD but just downloading the game, then this means the site you would have downloaded it from gives you corrupt data (mind possible viruses then!), meaning you should download it from another site.

If this does not solve your problem or does not accurately answer your question, please give more info about what exactly you are doing/using.

Bought Age 3 for the mac (new macbook pro 2010). during play it closed and stated 'Age of Empire 3 unexpectedly closed, would you like to re-open'. Is there a reason for this?

This could be happening for several reasons. The good news is that is usually doesn't spell disaster for your MacBook. You might try making sure your hard drive is tidy. You can use the Apple Disk Utility Tool for this. Also, it's always a good idea to keep your Apple CODEC up to date. Another thing you might try (a lot of people underestimate this one) is to get a good cleaner for your optical drive/laser.

Age of empires save game problem

I had the same problem several times with AoE Rise of Rome , when I try to load a saved game it crashes to windows with an error .. first I tried to solve it by saving the game more times in a row , like three or four times , but once all four of my saves were corrupted or whatever so I tried to save the game while not having any building or unit selected . So far it works fine , but some saves where I had sth selected worked also . DON'T KNOW if this is a TRUSTY solution , but as I said I had no errors so far.

Age of empires 3 not loading

Age of Empires 3 requires a decent computer to run. If im correct in understanding what you are saying, you graphics card may not be up to date. This is what happend to me on several games. All i had to do was update my video card drivers and it worked.

The recommended requirements are:

- Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
- 512 MB of RAM
- 2.0 Ghz CPU
- 128 MB 3D video card

- 1.5 GB of extra free hard disk space
- 32x CD-ROM drive
- DirectX 9.0c (important)
- DirectX 8.0 compatible sound card
- 56 kbps Internet connection for online play

If you PC has all of the above or better, it should work perfectly.

If you do not have those requirments, download a 3D render that acts as a card for your computer, making your computer play games it orignally cant handly. I recommend "Swiftshader". Just type in google and go to there site, and download a demo. their are harldy any restictions on it apart from a splash logo in the side. when you extract, place the
"d3d8", and the "d3d9" files in the root (main folder) of the game. Then run!

This method is good if you have a good amount of ram (more then the game requirements)

HOPE IT HELPED!!!!!
