From inside the machine follow the wires coming from the front panel control connection. Look closely for you will most likely find either a broken, disconnected or loose wire. The wires from the front panel connection run 1st to a small PCB( 1"x2" roughly) mounted vertically at the bottom front right of the machine frame, you may want to remove that pcb to get a closer look the connections. Wires then leave that PCB and run to a snap in connector on the front left side of the front bottom PCB, check the wiring that terminates in that snap in connector.

Air conditioner compressors require a greater amount of electricity (measured in both volts and amps, but the amps are what is causing the overload). You will need a larger generator to run your AC. You might be able to run a smaller AC unit, but always check the Amps required and compare that to the Amps the circuit breaker on the generator is rated for.
Reviewing the specs on this inverter, there is no mention of the
fuse, but past experience tells me that the portion that
inserts into the cigarette lighter would be the likely location.
Try unscrewing the knurled portion at the tip. be careful because
it may be spring loaded. Remove this assembly and a glass
fuse may be located there. Check for continuity on it. You
can go online and purchase the same fuse at newark.com
If it is the fuse inside the cigarette lighter plug, just unscrew it and put a new fuse in.
If you mean replacing the two 25amp fuses inside the inverter housing, you can bypass the fuses by soldering the two sides together. Or, if you want to put new fuses in, heat the solder holding the fuses in until they pop out and insert new ones.
As for opening the housing, good luck!! I ended up using steel cutters to rip off the plastic. The best option would be to buy a new one and return the old one in the package.
An incandescent lamp that is cold takes approximately 10 times the running current initially. The inverter MAY not be able to start the 500 watt lamp if its protection circuits sense the very low starting resistance of the lamp.
Check your consumbales to be sure they are tight in the torch head. Check your ground be sure it's good and connected to the pc you are cutting. Make sure you are running air at 65 to 70 psi as it exits the torch. Email me if you have any other questions.
