Loose sound to left side

I have the same EXACT problem. Most of the time only the right speaker plays and the left doesn't but when they both play its very distorted. I've tried everything. Resetting the ipod does not work and its not the ipod because when I use it on my fiance's avic-x910 its perfect. If I remove my head unit and play with the wires its fixed but only for a short while. I've soldered the connections so they are solid but I still have this issue. Any help?

How do i hook up my ipod touch to the avic f700bt

You will need an accessory cable, part number CD-IU230V This connects to the back of the unit and then to the iPod or iPhone. Typically the iPod end is fed through to the glove box or some such other handy place.

Hello, I have the pioneer AVIC 700bt. When I plug my Ipod nano into the USB adapter on the head unit, the Ipod display comes up right away and it shows that it is playing but there is no sound coming...

You will need to be using the CD-IU230V cable for the iPod.
After connections, you will also need to follow these step:
Press "menu".
Press "settings"
Press " AV Settings"
Press "AV1 Input" multiple times until it says iPod.

You will now be able to hear the sound from the ipod when it is selected as a source.

Is it possible to retain USB capability when CD-IU230V iPod adapter is installed?

the IPOD USB is attached to the USB port near the IPOD connector. If you follow that back you have to disconnect the ipod cable from the USB port then you can use the flash drive in that port. it is an either or situation.
