Re: DCC-2000

My reservoir does not empty completely and since I use a variety of different coffee flavors I just flush out my coffee pot with water
until clear (never empty fully as a tefelon type of coating in the
reservoir) and just leave any clear water in. This solved my problem. Also elimated any leakage by lifting the lid and drying it
off with a dish towel as the water doesn't flow down the small opening and also dry on the back of the coffee pot to stop this
moisture. I love mine especially since there is never a "burn taste"
and it does keep the coffee pot hot. Clean mine every 3 months and put it in new filter.

Wow, I can see your question is very old. Do you still own your machine and if so have you resolved your problem with it? I would contact Cuisinart Warranty at 1-800-726-0190 and ask them what they can do for you. There is a limited three year warranty on the unit from the day you purchased it.

B70 does not brew,it says to descale

It may be clogged up with hard water scale. Fill the reservoir with white vinegar. Place an empty coffee mug in the unit and continue to run vinegar through it until the reservoir is empty enough that it is asking you to add more water. Leave the unit alone and let the vinegar stand in the unit for 8-12 hours. Fill the reservoir with water and run water through the device (you might want to do this several times in order to make sure the vinegar is completely gone).

Also check to make sure that the piercing unit is not clogged with coffee grounds.

Hope this helps.

Doesn't always brew all the water, stops early

All coffee makers do this over time from calcium, lime, and mineral deposits building up inside the tubes and heating coil. Fill the reservoir with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar and run a normal brew cycle, turning it off and on if necessary to completely empty the reservoir. Repeat this 2 or 3 times with fresh mixture of vinegar and water until it brews the reservoir empty without the need to cycle the power. Follow this procedure with plain water 2 or 3 times to clean the vinegar out. This should get it working like new again. It's best to use distilled water for brewing coffee as distilled water does not have the minerals that regular tap water has and therefore will not clog up the machine.

I have had my hamilton beach brew station for a year. The past 2 weeks, the water put in the bottom reservoir does not empty completely into the coffee reservoir. It leaves about 8 oz in the bottom water...

On your machine there is maybe inside water reservoir a hose or tube that goes down to bottom, or suppose to go down to bottom, to **** up all water. Look inside and see if hose is going all the way to bottom, maybe it got hung up or crooked. Please let me know, glad to help, thanks mike ( mr bean man )

When I pour water into (empty) pot to fill. Bunn coffee maker

If you pour water into the machine, and water comes out, then the reservoir is full of water. There is no way the water can bypass the reservoir and go directly into the pot.

How do you drain a Keurig b40 coffee maker?

Empty the water reservoir and put back on the side of the Kurig. Put your hand in the reservoir and slide the disc that monitors the water level back toward the top and and hold in that position, the machine will think there is water. Then put a cup under the head and select a cup. The water will come out. You must hold the disc up inside the reservoir to continue to get the water out.

Weak Coffee

I don't have any first-hand experience with this brand. However, it sounds like the coffee grounds are being partially bypassed by the hot water.

One clue that will help diagnose this is: does the carafe fill up to the amount of water that was in the reservoir? If not, that suggests not all the water is being cycled through.

See if the reservoir is completely empty at the end of the brew cycle. Look for any coffee-colored water in the reservoir at the end of the cycle. That would indicate, to me, a defective feed valve in the water path.

Reservoir will not empty completely

I had the same problem I used straight vinegar. I just poured it into the coffee maker and let it run through the cycle after it was done then I poured plain water and ran it through it That seemed to help my problem. I hope this helps
