NS-BTHDST Insignia Bluetooth Headphones No stereo sound w/ mic.

Hey, I just got these headphones and whenever my laptop needs to use the mic it makes the stereo sound stop playing and it wont come back on for a little while(I have the sound set to bluetooth stereo sound and mic set for bluetooth hands free audio). I can get both sound and mic to work at once with mono quality sound(bad sound quality, The settings are that the sound is set for bluetooth hands free audio and the mic for buetooth hands free audio), but I need stereo sound for gaming.

SOURCE: How do you pair your Insignia Headphones/ Headset

Go to Accessory Settings on your PS3.Then go to mange bluetooth devices and hit register new device. while doing this take your headset and put it in discovery mode. You do this by holding the power button and the it alternates between blue and red lights. It should work after that.

To test it go to audio device settings and see if it shows up.

I can't find the pairing codes for my ns-bthdst

the code on the PC side should be 4 zero's, there is no code to set on the headphones side of things, just power the headphones on and on the PC set to serch for new devices.

Insignia NS-BTHDP ok with phone, pairs with PC but can't connect

Make sure the headphones are set as "default" under Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage Audio Devices - same for microphone if you're using it for online speech.

If you are indeed talking about your Insignia bluetooth headset the reason it works with your cellphone is probably because your phone is already bluetooth enabled, but your laptop is not, which is what the usb dongle is for. You must install the drivers for the dongle for it to make your laptop bluetooth enabled. Once you have that working you need to go to Bluetooth places (should be on the desktop once the driver is installed) THEN hold the button on the headset down until the lights flash blue and red alternating. Once it is flashing, click on add new bluetooth device in the Bluetooth Places and it should pick it up. Once that is going everything is pretty straighforward...follow the wizard. Hope this helps!

Won't charge or turn on.

I wrote to Insignia and they recommended the following procedure, which worked for me:

1- Plug the charger into a power outlet
2- Press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time for resetting the device.

My earphones are working well now.
