Question about Vizio GV46L 46 in. LCD Television

Open Question

VIzio channels won't change

We have had our new tv for about 6 months and this morning the channels won't change. What do we do? Mine did the same thing about two weeks ago. I've had it for 8 months and it's worked perfectly. Two weeks ago I was watching it during the day and everything was good. Came back that night and the channels wouldn't change unless I manually entered them and the HD channels wouldn't come in. The channel up/down doesn't even work on the TV. For a while if I switched it over to antenna, the channel up/down would work, but now that doesn't even work. Need some assistance - more than just unplugging it.

SOURCE: 47" Vizio Flat screen HD LCD freezes up and remote will not work.

could it be Ch 9's digital signal is not broadcasting right? what is your refresh rate on your tv? 60 or 120hz? if its 120hz, then its more then likely the digital broadcast, if its 60hz I think its your tv can't keep up with their signal that may be at 120hz. Make since??

SOURCE: channel up/down button on remote for 37" vizio tv

It is possible that the pads are worn out or there is damage on the main board, possible carbon track failure . you might need to reform the tracks or use a remote control repair kit to retrack. Also in some cases the controller IC can be defective as it fails to detect the selected port.

I LOST MY REMOTE TO MY 39INC VIZIO FLAT SCREEN T.V. MODEL D390-BO HOW DO I CHANGE CHANNELS AND ADJUST VOLUME MANUALLY?

Unfortunately, the Vizio D390-B0 only has a Power and Input button on the TV. You need a replacement remote (XRT020) or a universal remote with the code for Vizio that was programmed 6 months after the TV was released. The D390-B0 documentation suggests that the TV was released in 2014.

I hope this helps.

We have misplaced our remote to vizio smart tv. I ordered new one but it will not be here for another month. Can I change channels without remote. We are stuck on hallmark channel :(

On some of the Vizio Smart TVs, there are volume and channel buttons along the side panel. They are pretty well concealed, but there are there. If you can give me a model number, I can be more specific.

MMy Vizio 32" tv only gets 16 channels

If your Vizio TV has a built-in HD converter, 16 channels is what you can expect. If the channels are identified with decimals such as 10.1, 10.2, etc. they are HD. The cable connection you refer to must be connected to an antenna, otherwise you would have a cable box and a monthly bill from some cable company

Ive had my vizio for 4 months and just recently the volume on the same 4 channels slowly decreases til you cant hear much. With a change of the channel or a commercial the volume returns. Recently moved to...

First - connect DVD player preferably to the same input (unless you are using RF connector) and make sure that same issue does happens while you are watching movies. If it does - main board in your TV have to be replaced. If it does not - it still cable signal problem.

Can't change channel using the remote or buttons on tv

Simple Fix

I had the same problem, couldn't change the channels with the remote or on the side of the TV. This was for a Vizio 37"

Here is the fix:

1. Turn on TV

2. With remote, press the Menu Button

3. Go to Antenna Menu

4. Select Auto Search
Let it search, it could take several minutes. It may not finish to 100%, mine got stuck at 79% for 10 minutes. It's fine if that happens, go ahead and cancel.

5. It should be done, your remote will work perfect along with the TV channel buttons.

VIzio channels won't change

press the menu button in the middle of your remote and scroll over to the middle tab that's labled "TV" and then scroll down to "auto search". click on this option by pressing the right arrow key on your remote so that your T.V. and "re-scan for channels. It might take awile. I took me about 5 minutes but for majority of the time it was stuck on 45% while it was scanning.
