JTP15Wd1WW electric wall oven start button not working

I ordered a new control board and it did not fix my issue, I found that my ribbon cable is touching one of the boxes and getting hot, when I bend it away from the board, my button works, I used electrical tape to keep it from touching. It could be just a bad ribbon cable instead which costs about 25.00 , you have to know the exact number of pins your unit will need

Maytag precision touch control 500

Either both bake and broil elements are burnt out (highly unlikely) or your control / clock may be bad. Also check to be sure you have 220v going to unit.

Whirlpool electric range ygy398lxpq00. The start button on the front keypad will not work. I can set temperature etc. but when I press the start button nothing happens. Shut off power for considerable...

sounds like the touch pad is bad from what you're discribing,i looked up your model on the sears site and it looks like the whole front panel comes all together, part number W10122300 and it's around 230.00 dollars.you can call your parts store and see if you can just get the touch pad and hopefully you can.i've seen this happen before, the start button is pushed alot of times and it can damage the touch pad by pressing it to hard or just from using it alot of times.http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Touchpad-and-Control-Panel/W10122300/1372156 copy and paste this, this is the repair clinic,if you buy a part from them and it doesn't fix your problem they will take it back no matter what part it is and i think it's free shipping.it's a good thing to know when the parts are so expensive, also here's the sears site so you can look up your machine.good luck with it.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Whirlpool-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-YGY398LXPQ00/1198/0124160/W0703148/00002?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=YGY398LXPQ00

When pushing the button bake and broil the red light starts to blink on lock ? this happened after i woke 1 morning n noticed there was no time where the clock was, it was all dark n nothing worked, after...

if the clock is blank it's bad and you have to change out the clock assy. if that's your model number MEW5527B it says your part is
WP74009198 and it's around 260 dollars but this must be an older wall oven because nobody has it in stock, you can go here, put your full model number in and go to control panel and look up your computer board or clock assy. same thing

Oven wont heat up, F-1 on timer

This indicates the ERC Electronic Range Control has failed. First check the key pad. Press each button one at a time. You should feel or hear a click and feel the retraction. If any button is not working the problem is likely in the key pad. If you locate the tech sheet ( somewhere on the stove, usually in the control panel) it may have a ohm check that can be done on the key pad to rule out the key pad. Here is a simple test that you can do to determine whether the clock or the touchpad are defective when the display reads F1:

- Disconnect power to the range.
- Gain access to the back of the ERC (electronic range control, or "clock").
- Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire about 1 ½" to 2" wide.
- Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on. Replace any covers removed to gain access to the ERC.
- Turn the power back on to the range.
- Watch for the F-1 and listen for the beep.
- If you get the F-1 and beep, replace the ERC.
- If after approximately 60 Minutes you do not get the F-1 fault, replace the touch pad.

NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock control as one part so F1 = bad clock control(ERC). If all seems good the control is at fault. Check to see if you have power going into the control. If you do and nothing is working the control board or ERC needs to be replaced. Here is a link for checking and replacing an oven control. If you need diagrams and illustrations of your specific model enter your model their. All parts come with installation instructions.

On the window where it shows the clock time, it showed error E0 F2. The stove top works but the oven stop from working. All the digital numbers and all keypad entry was not functioning. For the whole time...

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock). Follow the link for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model.

Oven doesn't work, stove does

If it's a Whirlpool or Kenmore oven (or one of several other brands that are made by Whirlpool) then this error code means:

F1 - E1 Safety flip flop Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)

The system believes that the control board has failed and needs to be replaced.

This page has a list of diagnostic codes by brand and model number. You should check there to look up your particular brand to confirm what I just said.

Bake button and numbers on the keypad have stopped working

HI, this is a touch pad issue but, due to the integrated design of the control board and touch membrane, you will have to replace the entire control board in order to fix this issue. you can purchase this board at the link below.

My oven won't start. no display, only beeps on certain functions

Hi, the actual circuit that is open is the cancel key connection. Here is a check list that will help. I would consider replacing the ERC if the control is integrated.

Please rate and god bless:)
