The camera should come with a removable Li-on battery which is charged with a special Li-on battery charger.

To download your pictures, depends on where they are stored. If they are stored on a memory card, try removing the card from the camera and putting it in a card reader to your computer. If it is on the internal memory of the camera, use a USB cable to transfer the data from the camera to the computer.

DOES THE VIVITAR vIVICAM f126 NEED TO BE TURNED ON to charge it? Should thd SD card be removed while charging? How does one know when it is fully charged?

No. not usually but check to manual.

No.

The manual should tell you how long it takes to charge but the on screen battery display will indicate the charge level
Usually the camera will download the images and then go into charge mode if you're using USB

How Long to Charge The Battery & What Downloads Do I Need To Use This Camera?

If you need a manual you may download a copy at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200802/20080223125008687_NV7_ENG.pdf
The charging time depends on how you connect the charger. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge a battery. Pages 11 and 12 give information about charging the battery.
You don't need to download any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said earlier, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Hi I have the vivitar vivicam 8025 dont have my manual want to know how to charge my battery

First off, you can download a PDF version of the manual from the manufacturer at: http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/13/VC8025%20User%20Manual.pdf
If you don't have a PDF viewer, you can download one from: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ (just click download under the free version)
For your convenience I've pasted the relevant information about charging the batteries from the above manual:
Please charge the battery as below 2 methods: A. Charge with USB cable Insert the lithium battery into your camera correctly, and connect your camera to computer with USB cable. The red LED of camera will be light on indicating that your camera is in charging status, the LED willbe off when charge full.
B. Charge with supplied charger Your camera is supplied a compatible charger for you, you are only required to put the battery into charger and charge the lithium battery directly from electrical outlet

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

I was downloading my pictures from my kodak easy share v1003 to the easy share program. the camera was recognized the downloading showed up as downloading to a file foler by date. it finished downloading,...

I?ll be fine. All your original pictures are on the C drive. Unless you have changed the directory onto which you save when transferring: You can find the pictures under C-Drive, my pictures. The camera might need to be recharged. The camera doesn't charge from the computer while transferring pics. You will need to switch the camera off before the camera will start charging.

Recharchable battery will not charge olympus 850sw

You can download a manual at this site.
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_manuals.asp?id=1365
It sounds like your battery is dead. How long have you had this camera? If the battery is not charged properly it will cause the life time to be cut in half or more. When charging these batteries you have to let them die completely before charging. This could be a major problem if your in the middle of taking pictures. I have two batteries for all my cameras that way I always have one on stand by. Hope this works. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Don't know this particular model, but most cameras will charge battery only if they are switched off.

Hp 945 frosen with red light on

I posted on July 16 with this flashing problem and played around and got mine working again.
Originally I would charge through the docking port. What I did was pull the charged rechargable batteries out of the camera and took the charging cable from the docking station and pluged it directly into the port on the side of the camera. The camera started working again. Then while the charging cable was pluged into the camera, I reinstalled the rechargable batteries. After installing the batteries I unpluged the charging cable and the camera still works. I have shot and downloaded from the camera pictures with no more problems. Use the docking for downloading pictures and the side port on the camera for recharging the batteries.
I do not know if this has anything to do with the original problem but I did not have any problems with this camera until I placed it on the docking station with non-rechargible batteries.
Hope this helps.
