JVC Sirius KD-LH300 CD Player Freezing

I've had the player for approx 1.5 yrs. About 6 months ago it suddenly stopped playing mp3's in mid song. The id3 display still showed the song but the timer didn't move on the song. I ejected the cd and it would not play any other cd's . I tried resetting the unit several times with no luck. After a few days it suddenly started playing again. It was fine until about 2 weeks ago when the same thing happened. I've tried all the same things even a few new things includind disconnecting the battery altogether to try to reset and nothing. Has anybody else experienced this problem.
