Adf takes more than one page per feed

Sheet detector sensor has been damaged or bent probably by a paper jam (assume you have set the paper weight in the printer dialogue box to the correct media). Best solution, check the feed path of the paper and see if there are any rollers or grippers bent out of true and try to straighten them gently.

My samsung printer is not picking up the sheets of paper correctly and they seem to be sticking on the roller

It could be a dirty pickup roller in printer. Found following advice from Samsung:

Printer will not feed the paper depends on following possibility.
  • Paper Type:
    • If surface of the paper is too smooth, pick-up roller will not feed the paper.
    • In such case, try with different type of paper.
  • Pick-up Roller:
    • If the rubber roller is worn out, it will not feed the paper from the tray. There is not enough friction to feed the paper.
    • Pull the paper tray out and clean the rubber roller.

Paper feeds, but won't print. As far as I can tell there is ink.

Ensure the Paper Tray is Not Overfilled Each printer tray has a maximum capacity rating, and this rating is based on a specific paper weight and or thickness. Consequently, situations might arise in which the tray will not be able to accommodate the maximum number of sheets listed in the printer specifications. Verify that the paper is not packed too tightly in the paper tray Adjust the Printer Paper Guides Adjust the paper guides to fit the size paper being used (Figure 1). The guides should be close (1/16" or less) to the paper without touching, so that the paper stays properly aligned without continually rubbing the guides. Locate and Remove Any Obstructions Inside the Printer and Input Tray Open the front cover and make sure the kickstand (if there is one) is engaged. Locate and remove any obstructions within the printer, such as paper pieces, staples, tape, or other objects. Close the cover. Remove all paper from the input tray. Inspect the input tray for any obstructions. Remove any visible obstructions. Reinsert the paper. Determine if Multiple Sheets Are Fed at Once From the Paper Tray or ADF Determine if multiple sheets are fed at once from the the paper tray or Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Verify the print media installed is compatible with the printer Clean the ADF Paper Feed Roller Disconnect the AC power from the printer. Open the cover of the Automatic Document Feeder (Figure 1). Figure 1: Raise the Cover of the Automatic Document Feeder Using a damp paper towel, gently wipe the rubber roller to remove any ink or paper debris (Figure 2). Figure 2: Paper Feed Roller on the Automatic Document Feeder Close the cover and reconnect the power. Reseat the Dell Printer Power Adapter If your printer has a momentary loss of communication with your computer, it may be necessary to reset the printer to re-establish communication. You can reset a Dell? inkjet printer by unplugging the printer power cord from the electrical outlet and from the back of the printer for 10 seconds then reattaching the cord at both ends. If the printer queue icon is showing in your system tray (by your clock), you may have documents that are paused for printing. To resume printing a paused document: Double-click the printer queue icon to check document status of the active printer. Right-click on any documents that show Paused under Status, and then click Resume in the drop-down menu. Try a Different Type of Print Media Many image quality and paper feed issues are caused by the type of print media being used. Try a different type of print media that is specifically made for this printer. Replace the printer.

Paper pulls to the right, jams, won't print, tried different paper still won't print

Hi,
Sounds like the feed rollers need cleaning.
Clean the feed rollers, lint free cloth, bottled water.
wait for them to properly dry

Revolve the feed roller bar as you clean them, to clean the feed rollers all the way round, remove all particles from them.

Check you ADF grips are set correctly, if not you will get mis-fed sheets. check the tray is sat properly too or mis-feeds.

Check paper size is correct in print properties too.
Should be good then
Try print.

Regards
Richard.

ADF problem

Hi,
Thanlk you for contacting Fixya.
To resolve the issue, please follow the steps provided below:
#Check if the documents satisfy paper specification? Please refer to the Operator’s Guide for paper specification, paying attention to the following points:
• Is there any print within 10mm x 10 mm square in the center of documents on the top? • Is multi feed error detected by paper length when scanning documents with different length? • Is there perforation in the center of documents?
#Check ADF and clean pick roller, Pad ASY and around DF sensor with care.
#Replace Pick roller and Pad ASY and see if the error is removed. Check the consumable counter from the TWAIN driver screen. When the counter exceeds the permitted values, replace Pick roller or Pad ASY. If the error still occurs, confirm that the cable is correctly connected then replace the sensor.
Hope the above information will be helpful.
Thanks & regards,
TechSatya

Paper is not feeding through. Keeping getting message that "load paper". But when loaded paper is not being picked up. The meachine is only 2 years old. Olready the roller has been changed. Please advise...

The paper’s weight may be expressed on a different basis than the paper used to rate the printer’s capabilities. For example, a 20-pound bond paper equates to 28 pounds cover and 42 pounds index papers in thickness. The differences among bases stem from the sizes of the large sheets from which the paper was cut. For example, Sharp says, bond paper’s weight is determined by 500 sheets of 17- x 22-inch stock (later sectioned into 8.5- x 11-inch reams), whereas index paper’s weight stems from 500 sheets of 25.5- x 30.5-inch paper.

Match the basis for the weight of the paper to the basis of the printer’s maximum paper weight rating. If the printer was rated on only one basis, such as cover or index, and your paper ****’s wrapper only lists the paper’s weight by another basis, such as bond,
