Make sure that any programs that typically use Silverlight (i.e. Zune, etc.) are closed during the installation or check to make sure that your computer is updated and running the latest version of Windows XP. If neither of those suggestions work, try a restart.

I can't get netflix to work. error message N8161

2/24/2013 Netflix Error Code N8161, Protection Error Problem became a recent problem on 3 of my five XP computers, one Home Edition, the balance are XP Pro. After trying uninstalling and re-installing Silverlight, all the adobe products and Media Player I finally resolved the problem by uninstalling the current Silverlight 5, restarting the PC and then and installing old version Silverlight 4. I had to search hard to find a site that both still offered it and that I trusted. Just don't let Microsoft Updates or Netflix demand to install Silver light temp you to update. Chrome insists on the Silverlight plug in update - DON'T DO IT. Firefox and IE8 seem OK, at least for now.

I opened my gift Bluetooth adaptor and the package did not include an installation CD as it said on the package. This gift was purchased in another state. Any idea how to get the installation download?

plug the bluetooth gift in http://majorgeeks.com/Bluetooth_Driver_Installer_d6752.html

This small freeware utility will try to install generic Microsoft driver for your bluetooth adapter. The program is based on a widely known method of patching %WinDir%\inf\bth.inf file.

This small freeware utility will try to install generic Microsoft driver for your bluetooth adapter. The program is based on a widely known method of patching %WinDir%\inf\bth.inf file.
It works for most (but not all) bluetooth adapters, both USB dongles and built-in. (See the list of bluetooth devices and hardware IDs known to work. Note that this list is not exhaustive.)

hope this will help you

I have Adobe Reader X installed on my computer and a few days ago it stopped working and I received the following message. This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and...

I have two suggestions for you. You could download the application from adobe and reinstall it and see if that will fix the issue or when you try to remove it either through the uninstall option in the adobe heading in your start menu or from the control panel's add/remove programs section you should be given the option to remove adobe x or repair adobe x. Try the repair option and see if that helps solve the issue.
Good Luck.

Deleting adobe acrobat

Hi riz1380

If you still have the file that you installed it from run that first. Then use remove software/programs. If you dont have it anymore download it first.

When trying to open adobe reader 8.1.1 get following message: patch package could not be opened. verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify...

it sounds like the application that is needed to uninstall the version 8 is corrupted or missing. Try reinstalling version 8 first then uninstall it before loading version 9. If you can reinstall version 8 and it asks you if you want to repair or install, choose install to get all of the files back before uninstalling it again. Always uninstall from add/remove programs. If deleting it from program files instead of uninstalling it correctly it will cause problems.

Can't remove program from pc

Hello Jacque43,

You may download and install Absolute Uninstaller to enable you to remove that ad. Just follow the instructions.

Also, you may need to install an antispyware program. You can try free versions of AVG or Avast.

do you the original installer of your adobe reader?

if you..when uninstalling adobe and the error occurs just browse for the .msi in your adobe installer and hit ok...

after it uninstall...download foxit reader and install it instead of the adobe reader....
