Problems adding a vista computer to a mn-700 network

I added a new computer that runs Vista to my wireless network. I am able to get on the network and use the internet with the new computer, but I can not use the printer from my Vista OS computer. The base computer runs XP Home. The printer is connected to the XP. I have enabled all the file and printer sharing choices on both machines. Any ideas on how to make this work?

I checked the firewalls. Both are running Windows firewall only and I checked the file and printer exception on both.

Adding a wired computer or device to the network.

If you router is already set up and you want to add a new computer, you don't need to run the set up CD for the router again.
If you are adding a desktop or any other device to the router which will always be connected to the router with the Ethernet cable, then in this case you don't need to do anything.
You can just connect the Ethernet cable between the router and the computer and it should work.
If you are not able to go online even when it is connected properly then check IP address of the computer.

Adding a wireless computer or device to the network.

If you router is already set up and you want to add a new computer, you don't need to run the set up CD for the router again.
If you want to add a new wireless device ( laptop or any other wireless device) to the network, then you should know all the wireless settings of the router. What wireless settings do you need to know ?
You should know the wireless network name ( SSID ), wireless channel and the wireless security password
( network key ). Once you get all the wireless settings of the router , you will need to connect to the wireless network on the computer. when you try to connect to the network , you will see your wireless network in the list. You just need to select your network and connect to it. If it is secured then you will need to enter the network key and you will be able to go online.
To check the wireless settings of the router , you will need to access the router set up page. On the set up page you will find all the wireless settings of the router.

Caanot establish connection from MN-500 to internet

I don't think it's your router or your computers. If you just replaced your modem it has to be the problem. If it is a DSl Modem you have to imput you account username and password. If it's a cable modem you have to call the cable company and tell them you have a new modem. Which every it is you need to contact your Internet service provider, they are the ones who can help you.

Dell 3300 Printer Adapter and Vista

Vista is tricky when adding networked printers.
Add printer by using a local device, not a networked device.  Assume the printer is connected locally to the machine.

If your PC has a wireless card, you can setup an AD-HOC network :

If your PC is XP: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/setup/adhoc.mspx

If your PC is Vista: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/help/293c504f-b944-4d5d-835c-f080129bd5dc1033.mspx

If your PC only has a wired Ethernet connection, you may still connect the two using a Wireless Access Point/Router.

Once you have the two computers connected, you may do whatever networked operations you would like:

File & Printer Sharing is the most common:

Vista: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/File-Print-Sharing-Windows-Vista.html
