Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 v 1.0 volume keys not working

On 32-bit machines: Use the windows search feature to find "hidserv.dll." Once located, copy the file and paste it into the %systemroot%\system32\ directory. Open the "Run" dialog box by keying the windows + R. Type "services.msc" and hit enter. Locate the HID Input Service. Right click and click "start." This should solve the issue!!

My keyboard DVD keys are not working

If you want to check the drivers just type Device Manager in the start box. Once in Device Manager find your keyboard and click on the "+" sign, then right-click on your keyboard model. You should see update driver, also one of the tabs will tell if it is working properly and if not there is a Troubleshooting box. Also try going into the Control Panel and clicking on your keyboard/mouse. There are settings there alsol

Normal 0 Are you using Windows Vista? If you arethen go to Control Panel.
1. Click on PRINTERS.
2. When the Printer Properties comes up, CLICK on KEY SETTINGS.
3. Then set up the keys by selecting the Volume +/mute key which is the bottom one and click on it.
It will give you another window. Make sure you have a check in the block that says "Displays Volume and Mute Status on screen" Hope that will help some. Bud
Hope this helps. Bud

Volume controls

Just sorted it. The solution is a touch long winded but it worked for me.

Sorry for the delay in replying but i THINK have have the solution which I got of the Saitek forums.
I have had the same problem with VOLUME controls on two MS keyboards and a logitech, this worked a treat.

So what do you need to do?
FIRSTLY check Control Panel->Administative tools->Component services and click "Services (local)", on the RHS look for "HID input service" under STATUS it should say STARTED, if it DOES im not 100% if this will help but try anyway. If it DOESN'T this should work.

Go to START->RUN and type REGEDIT and navigate your way to the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidServ\Parameters

If there is a file called "ServiceDll" delete it (make a copy obviously and stick it on your desktop or something). Right click in the RHS of the page and create a NEW->Expandable String Value.
Call it "ServiceDll" (exactly as typed here without quotes), and make the value read "%SystemRoot%\System32\hidserv.dll" (without quotes). Now exit out of Reg edit and go back to Control Panel->Administative tools->Component services. Next to HID input service right click in the gap under STATUS and press START. Close properly and your volume should now work.
Good luck.

Logitech Wave Keyboard + windows XP

Im certain those features on that keyboard are designed for Windows Vista , but if you have any software that was with the keyboard install it , now these features should work.

If you can't find your CD/'s here is a link to the logitech website with the applications

>> Logitech Wave Keyboard Software <<

If you find this doesnt help , im certain that it was designed for vista not to work with XP.

Volume control on my keyboard dont work on my logitech LX710

solution found at this web site: http://www.mstar.net/users/rlowens/?n=SetPoint.VolumeControl

So, you just need to "turn on application compatibility" for SetPoint.exe:
  1. Open C:Program FilesSetPoint
  2. Right click on "SetPoint.exe" (this will just be "SetPoint" for some users, with a mouse/keyboard icon) and select "Properties"
  3. Click the "Compatibility" tab and check the box by "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
  4. Click OK
  5. You may have to turn volume all the way up/down or restart.
