Question about Logitech Cordless Internet Handset Phone
I've purchased a logitech skype cordless phone. And having trouble configurating it.
I am running windows vista, and when installing the driver of the phone and running it. I've downloaded the latest driver for the phone (v191) -- it seems it can not find the skype application although it is running and working properly. Furthermore when loading the driver it notes that it can not find the base unit.
In addition I tried installing the driver on vmware with windows xp on it. On that case the driver works fine (recognizing the skype application). But it can not find the base unit. The button on the base unit of the logitech phone can contact the phone when "paging home phone" (means that the base unit can connect the phone properly) -- and it sees that the windows finds properly the base unit (I think anyways)
How can I solve this problem?
You can uninstall the Skype Application and reinstall it in compatiblity mode and chose XP. To do this right click on the install exe and go to the compatibility tab/section and from the drop down chose XP. Then try reinstalling it.
That has solved a lot of issue for me with Vista.
Let me know if you need anymore help or if that does not solve your issue.
