My picture is starting to look green.

When I turn on my TV the background is green. When the picture is showing it still looks green. I can see the colors but it has a green tent over the picture.

SOURCE: Tv lost color

Your problem most likely is on the signal board is my guess. If your not a technician it would be in your best interest to have him check L2C60 on the signal board.

SOURCE: After power went out and came back on the TV

With your remote you should have menu that lists changing tint, aspect etc... the power surge sent it back to factory default.

My tv looks weird red and green. The people are bright red/orangish and backgrounds are green. The picture is perfect. I already reset. I believe the colors are out. I want to change myself. Can you help.

If the convergence appear to be correct, the next step is replace the fluid in one of the projection TV tubes. You will have to very carefully remove the screen and see into the mirror which picture tube is not clear. All the instructions will be found to fix this, by searching the this website....TvRepairKits.com. Have your TV model number and chassis number near by. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

Sony Trinitron picture turning green hues

Nowadays CRT's do not have good quality shadow masks anymore. After heating up a little they can give a so called "blooming" effect giving a blue an yellow leaf effect large over the screen. Reason nonparallelity in deformation of the shadow mask.

Problem with rca hd52w58 52" tv

This can be a green crt or green driver pcb problem. You can try and unplug the tv for 30 min. and plug it back in and turn it on, but the problem will most likly still be there. A repair shop will need to fix it from there.

Problem solved. I tried playing DVD and the TV picture was fine. So I double-checked cable wires from cable box - one of the wires was loose (obviously it was the red color input). After tightening, the TV picture is good as new.

Green is not being displayed on my TV

If you have experience troubleshooting solid state TV sets, you should be able to tell by a couple of voltage measurements if its a problem with the picture tube or the drive circuit. Simply take the multimeter and compare the base voltage of the green drive to the red or blue drive transistor. If the voltage is about the same, measure the collector of all three. if the green voltage on the collector is higher then the others, then theres an open between the drive transistor and the crt element. this could be an open resistor, a bad solder connection on the crt socket, or an open picture tube element. If theres no voltage there then your going to have to trouble shoot the drive circuit.
