Can't load gmail

There can be several reasons why Gmail is not loading on your Dell XPS 8700 Desktop. Firstly, you need to make sure that you are using a browser compatible for using Gmail. The browsers that support Gmail are Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
(Note: Internet Explorer does not support "Desktop Notifications" feature while only Google Chrome supports "Gmail Offline" feature.)

If you are using a compatible browser but still unable to load Gmail, make sure that you are using a browser version compatible with your Windows version. To check this, you can refer to the respective Microsoft Support page of your Windows version. Following is the link for Microsoft Support Center:
http://support.microsoft.com/

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, you can try one-by-one the following solutions suggested by Google Support:

Solution 1:

A few programs like internet security apps, anti-virus, or a few firewall applications can prevent Gmail from loading. Some of the common examples include AVG, Avast!, McAfee, and Norton. If you are using any one of these, you can try disabling them temporarily and see if Gmail loads correctly. If it loads, contact the support team of the respective software causing the issue so that you can make necessary changes in its settings to support loading Gmail henceforth. In the meanwhile, you can enable the security program you previously disabled to keep your system security intact though this may disallow you to load Gmail till the changes in the settings are made.

If temporarily disabling one or more programs listed above do not resolve your issue, enable them promptly and try the next solution mentioned below.

Solution 2:

Have you added any extensions or add-ons to your browser recently? At times, such additions may also prevent Gmail from loading correctly. One quick way you can use to confirm if one or more extensions or add-ons are restricting Gmail from loading is to try using safe mode/ incognito/ private browsing mode of your browser. This will disable all the extensions added to your browser and help you to check if any one of them was causing issues for Gmail.

Note:
1) To use "No Add-on" mode of Internet Explorer, you can refer to the following link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-browser-addons-affect-computer#1TC=windows-7
2) To use "Safe Mode" in Mozilla Firefox, you can refer to the following link:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
3) To use "Incognito" mode in Chrome, you can refer to the following link:
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=en
4) To deal with add-ons or extensions in Safari, refer to the following link:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230

If disabling extensions and add-ons helps Gmail to load properly, you can try going into the normal mode of your browser and disable add-ons or extensions one-by-one to check which one is causing the issue. If you are able to detect the one that is preventing Gmail from loading correctly, you may need to refer to the support page of the respective add-on for proper resolution.

If these solutions do not resolve your issue, refer to the following Google Support page to find some more solutions:
(Note: You need to select "No" each time for "Did that solve the problem?" on the following link to expand further solutions.)

Dell 490 Unable to initialize Fan Controller

This issue can be resolved by disconnecting the AC power cable from the system and draining the power from the system by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the chassis. (Approximately 30 seconds). Reconnect the AC Power cord and restart the system, issue should be resolved

My e machine desktop logs into my windows then when its load my stuff it goes on a blurry screen. But here is the tricky part when i rebooted my computer its fine for a day until the next day then it does...

Sounds like a video card, cable problem, or monitor issue. I would first start with trying to replace the video cable from the desktop to the monitor. If the issue persists try connectiong the desktop to another monitor, or TV if you have a newer tv. (most tv's now how a VGA or DVI input on them) If that does not resolve the issue it would most likely be the video card. you can pick these up for pretty cheap. they are really easy to install.

To resolve the “Input Not Supported” issue try booting to Safe Mode and make sure the display resolution is set at the native resolution and that the refresh rate is suitable for your monitor.

Once booted and desktop loads and all icons then the hour glass is locked on screen. Unable to use mouse or click onto anything. Emachine 580

Please reboot pressing F8 to access safe mode. once there see below

You may be a victim of spyware/maleware infections. You will need to have your system cleaned. This should help resolve your issue.

I would recommend trying CCleaner first to see if this helps you. Please keep in mind this will not rid your system of everything just keep you a float and offer you a fighting chance.

Please keep me posted and updated on your issue. I am here for you and will see your issues out till resolved.

Have a great and wonderful day :)

Thank You
Please do not hesitate to contact support :)

IBM Netvista desktop bios problem

this is more like a workaround that I used on a laptop which cd room drive just failed (and which I did not want to replaced as it was more expensive than the whole laptop)

If you can't select the device you want to boot from.. you may want to partition your hdd and format it so it loads a dos operating sytem .. use another machine and a win98 startup disk to do this then copy your I386 folder from your winxp cd into the new formatted hdd so when you put the hdd back into the IBM machine it loads dos and then going into the I386 folder you can run a winnt command for you to install the os.

IBM Netvista desktop bios problem

First of all if you re formatted the drive You have lost ALL of the information on that drive. Next you don't need to go through BIOS in order to boot from a disk. You can press F8 on the screen that you would normally enter BIOS with.

Hope This Helps
