SOURCE: HP Deskjet D4160

hi,
Ink-backup mode lets you continue printing with one print
cartridge when the other print cartridge has run out of ink.
Ink-backup mode allows the printer to operate using only one print cartridge. It is initiated
when a print cartridge is removed from the cradle.
Exiting Ink Backup mode
Install two print cartridges in the printer to exit ink-backup mode.

Cheers !!!!

SOURCE: HP Business Inkjet 1200 printer always prints the Alignment Page

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

How do you turn off the in use/memory light?

This of course depends on why the light is on! If you had a fax come in and it is in memory, you will need to print the fax and clear the memory before the light will go out. The LCD Display should be telling you why that light is on.

1. There is a fax or print job in memory waiting to be printed.--> See steps below
2. There is a paper jam --> Open printer - Remove all paper - Close printer - press OK button
3. You are out of ink or the cartridges are low. - Change Cartridges

My wireless connection between my HP laptop and my Photosmart C1800 all in one is properly connected with a succesful diagnostics report (signal strength excellent) but I cannot get the printer to print...

It sounds like there may be something that is bound up in the queue. Check the printer queue and delete any pending jobs, close of out office applications. Also restart your computer and printer if you haven't already.
  • If your doing IP printing, make sure that you statically address the printer. Printing using the DNS name can be flakey as I think these HP printers actually use DLink wireless to communicate.

Printing issue..please help

That sounds like a banner sheet, in your menus, Specifically a print menu you will find a section with reports, it should be caled banner sheet.
They may have another name for it. But disable that. Also go ont the driver on your computer and look to turn the banner sheet off.
Some call it a print acrivity sheet also.
make sure those pages are turned off on both the printer and on the print driver on the computer.
