Re: Problems connecting to wirless router
Have you tried username 'admin' and password 'password'? These are for the actual router. Ifit's the wep/wpa wireless encryption password, then you need to go intothe router's domain page, it'll be something like 192.168.0.1 (or192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.0.2) and enter admin andpassword, and then, usually under the Firewall menu, it'll say ResetFactory Settings. You can reset it and your wireless network should nowbe unsecured and you'll be able to connect to the internet wirelesslywith any device.
Hope this helps
PS If all these numbers are doing your head in, just typewww.routerlogin.com into the URL box and it'll take you straight toyour router's domain page! You can also go back into that page and set new passwords for encryption and also for passwording the actual router too. Write them down this time! :)

Have you tried restarting your broadband modem/router? As although your laptop is connecting to your broadband modem/router perhaps your modem/router is not connecting to the outside world. Once you have restarted your router, if you are still having problems, login to your router and check it's connection status. If it says anything other than "connected"/"ok"/"healthy", something along those lines, I would contact your ISP and check the status of your line. At this stage, if they confirm your line is working I would check the laptop for viruses/malware.
Gigaset 504 AGU black color signal antenna . How to find (Host Name) and only showing there mac address ans ip address. i want see witch one using my net and we want fine friend computer name in my router .
Unplug house connection or router for 30 seconds, then do the linsys for 10 seconds and plug back in. This should reset everything to work correctly. If needed, reset ip address on your pc. Set up home network if necessary.
Yes, go to my network places, right click, select properties, then create new connection, the wizard will walk you through, don't forget you have to put in the type of encryption and the Key ,that may be why it's not working. When you set up your new connection, you can select home/office etc, also delete the old connection, as that will cause you problems.
Sounds like the router may need a firmware update as the DHCP service is failing to run correctly.
You can however just use a static ip address.
First of all find out the network address in use.
eg. 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.2.1
to find out, - start menu - run - cmd - ok - ipconfig
Log on to the client computer as Administrator or as Owner.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet Connections.
Click Network Connections.
Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the This connection uses the following items list, and then click Properties.
In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, click Obtain an IP address automatically (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
Note You can also assign a unique static IP address in the range of 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254. For example, you can assign the following static IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway:
IP Address 192.168.0.2 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Default gateway 192.168.0.1
To setup your router first check.. Connect the Broadband modem to the computer using an Ethernet cable without the router installed and make sure that the Internet connection is active. If it is not, contact your Internet Service Provider. If it can go online, to setup connection.. Step 1: Connect the Broadband modem to the router’s WAN or Internet port. Step 2: Connect the computer to any available numbered port (1, 2, 3 or 4). NOTE: In this example, we’ll connect the computer to port number 3. Step 3: Make sure the power adapter is plugged to an available power outlet. Step 4: check if you are able to go online wired.. if not your router has to be configured first, to config your router i need some more information your internet service providers (isp)name , and how many computers do u have totally..
