Faulty Teka dishwasher Model UN-DW640F1

The dishwasher was running fine until i ran it after removing the top drawer to fit in some large plates. It stoped half way through the cycle. When you try to use it now it lets you choose your program fine. When you shut the door its start to make beeping a beeping noise and the program buttons flash. Its making the noise as if its starting up, but its doing nothing. Have i damaged it by running it without the top drawer in place. Thanks for any help.
