We cleaned the condenser and other elements on our Whirlpool ET20NKXFN00 it stopped working. They were really dirty, we were having a problem with water inside the fridge before we cleaned it.

SOURCE: Whirlpool fridge will not get cold after cleaning

IF THIS REFRIGERATOR IS A TOP MOUNT FREEZER/REFRIGERATOR, CHECK TO BE SURE THAT THE FILL TUBE AND CUP ON THE BACK OF THE ICE MAKER ISN'T FROZEN UP. THE WATER SHOULD FLOW DOWN THE FILL TUBE, THROUGH THE CUP, AND INTO THE ICE MAKER.

I'M NOT SURE WHICH PANEL YOU REMOVED. IF IT IS THE ACCESS PANEL DOWN AT THE BOTTOM BACK OF THE REFRIGERATOR, THAT IS WHERE THE INLET WATER VALVE IS LOCATED. IF THAT IS WHERE THE WATER IS SQUIRTING FROM, CHECK THE CONNECTIONS ON THE VALVE TO BE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT. ALSO, CHECK THE PLASTIC WATER LINES ATTACHED TO THE VALVE TO BE SURE THEY AREN'T CRACKED OR BROKEN.

SOURCE: freezer cold but not fridge

too much ice bulid up will stop enough cold air being blown into the fridge.Try turning it off letting all ice melt then turn it back on again and set thermostat at a lower temp. There may be ice you can't see.

SOURCE: icemaker not working

In most cases, this will be a water valve inlet issue. check the water valves operational value. you can use a ohm or volt meter to test the terminal clips on the valve assembly. if the meter picks up resistance and the valve isn't allowing proper water flow, replace the valve Assembly asap.

when it stops cooling, you will see some ice build up in the freezer. Letting it sit unplugged melts the ice and you will see some water under the fridge. Connect power and it works. Cause: don't overload the fridge and the freezer. Make sure the doors close snugly. Clean all lint build ups by vacuuming under and behind the fridge after switching off power.

My fridge light and digital readings turn on and off and the fridge doesn't stay all that cold. My freezer light is always on but the food is not staying frozen. The ice maker isn't making ice.

Hello,

The first thing I would do is to check the compressor and the condenser fan. Remove the cover on the back of the fridge and check how hot is the compressor? Is the condenser fan turning well? Also check the condenser coil under the fridge, it is very possible it needs cleaning.
If the condenser fan is not working properly then it has to be replaced.
If the condenser fan motor is fine and the cleaning did not help then the sealed system is low on Freon and in such case you need a certified technician to fix a leak and to charge the system.
Good luck.

Freezer is starting to frost up, what could the issue be? how can i determine and fix?

1 Could be a bad door seal letting moisture in.try cleaning the seal and area around it.
2 Bad defrost timer.self defrosting only.
3 Setting is too cold.
4 Clean out condenser, unplug fridge.condenser is in the back lower part of fridge.May also be located on the back of fridge.

5 Low on freon.

Why would the door gaskets be very warm underneath?

Since it is likely that your fridge is less than 20+ years old, it has become standard to design modern fridges with built-in door edge warmers to keep condensation (moisture) from forming on the exterior at the door edges along the main cabinet.

Since doors get opened frequently and the difference between the cool, dry air of the fridge and the room air can cause condensation to form quite often, the manufacturers install heating elements along the door edges in both the freezer and fridge compartments to help keep the condensation from forming.

Some makers (GE was the 1st) installed "energy saver" switches inside some of their fridges. The reason was not every area required the door edge heating elements to be on constantly, so by turning the "energy saver" switch "ON" it would turn these small heaters "off", thus saving some energy. With the "energy saver" switch "OFF, you would turn "on" the heaters and help prevent condensation from forming.

To get an idea of this, think of your toilet tank and how it "sweats" in the hot, humid summer months, as the water is colder than the air in the room, thus condensation forms on the exterior of the tank, as the difference in the temperature of the surrounding air and the water in the tank meet.

What you are noticing is normal and is no cause for alarm. Today's fridges no longer employ "energy saver" switches, as the heating element and technology has improved to the point that the energy consumption is minimal for the connivance of not having excessive condensation on the exterior of the fridge!

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Center support is hot

Pull the fridge out from the wall , and remove the rear panel . Check to see if the fan which cools the compressor is running . If not , it will have to be replaced . You may can get it started , by turning the blade by hand , but , it will still have to be replaced as it will stop again . If it is turning , your coils need to be cleaned of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . Also , the fridge has to have a back panel , so it will pull air over the coils and compressor , to keep them cool .

Compressor may have quit. Have you cleaned the condenser where the heat from the system is transfered to the air? If not clean it out under the front back of the toe plate. this should be cleaned as often as every six months.
