Re: i have forgot my wep password for my router
Hi, Type www.routerlogin.com into the internet url address bar. This will take you to your router's domain page. From there, Restore Factory Settings. Wait until the process has completed and it says you can connect to the internet. Then go to Security menu and enable WEP or WPA and it'll ask you to put a new password in. Write it down somewhere safe! Good Luck :)

wifi password or the password for logging into the router settings? If you do a factory reset on the router it will put all settings back to default settings, the default password can normally be found on a sticker on the side or bottom of router. it will say "WEP" or "WPA2 key". you factory reset the router by holding down a red button (inside of a hole) on the back of the router for 12+ seconds while its still powered on.
You will either have to call you ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask them to reset it, or you will have to stick a needle or pen into the reset button on the router to reset it all, the new default password should be the number on the back of the router.
Use first the default username and password according to your router's manual. If it doesn't work reset the router. Look for the reset pin hole on the back of the router. Press and hold it down for 1 seconds. After that use the default username and password for sure this time it will work. As soon as you are able to access the configuration page of your router please setup a new WEP key to keep you network secured.
If you forgot the wep key to your internet your best solution would be to reset your router and restore all of your settings to their default value.
There should be a rest hole on the back of the router. simply hold down the reset button and then log back into the router using the default ip address (try either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and the default username and password. Once you do that you will have to go and set all of your values again such as your network name and your new wep password.
Hope this helps!!

Do not reset the router. If you reset the router you will loose all the other settings of the router. The WEP key is the password to connect to the wireless network. that is set up on the router. You will find the WEP key if you open the set up interface of the router. Click Here to know how to open the set up interface of the router
