Question about NEC HT410 Multimedia Projector
I turn on my projector and my status light blinks in intervals of 6.i looked in the troubleshooting guide and it says"lamp fails to light.wait a full minute and then turn on again." i do this but it just does the same thing. i opened the lamp cover and everything looks fine with the exception of the socket of the lamp.it is screwed on tight, but it can move side to side a little bit.i know i have only used 33% of my lamp.any suggestions would be grealy appreciated.

If it is a lamp error try this:
When the lamp exceeds 2100 hoursof service, the projector cannot turn on and the manu is not displayed. Do the following:
For VT670/VT470 Press the help button on the remote control for a minimum of ten seconds.
For VT570/VT47 Press and hold the power and the exit buttons on the remote control simultaneously for a minimum of ten seconds. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the lamp indicator goes out. Hope this helps! :]

Replacing the lamp with an old one was helpful for me. Good news: the projector itself not faulty. Bad news: I have two projectors with the same issue at the same time (the lamps were replaced also at the same time) after only 400 hours of running.

SOURCE: NEC LT30 - Lamp dosen't turn on.
From the manual: To reset the lamp hold down the "HELP" button on the remote for 10 sec and the lamp indicator will turn off. Then start up the projector again.
It worked for me!

if the status light is blinking red in 4 sec interval it means that there is something wrong with cooling system. you shold check if there is a thermostat failure or if there are any switches that are not turned on. i suggest you to open the device (using screwdriver) and check if there are any switches broken or damaged.
i had pretty much the same problem (one second interval). i took off the cover and there was a broken switch and i just short-circuit it and now it works
Sorry for my english

the "try again after one minute" is a trial. if the new lamp doesn't work, the problem lies with the ballast.

Testimonial: "I guess I will find a repair shop that can check &/or replace the ballast. Thanks!"
