When this happen you usally need to format the hard disk and reinstall Windows, as it means that the Virus had gone too far in damaging the system.

The first thing to do is saving all your documents on disk or on an external hard disk, as the computer can stop starting up at any time.

Start using the program below:

Spybot-S&D.

If spybot does not install, or does not run, then you need to format the hard disk, and reinstall the system.

Do a safe copy of your data first.

Restart your computer and press F8. That takes you into safe mode, from there choose 'safe mode with networking'. Than update your antivirus and do a a full scan. When scanning in safe mode it catches more viruses before the have a chance to boot up because windows only loads the basics to run.

Remove virus on hard disk and usb's

Insert your USB drive in the appropriate USB slot in your computer.

If the Autoplay dialog box appears, select "Take No Action" and click the "OK" button.

Launch your anti-virus program, such as AVG Antivirus or Anti Malware.

Select the USB drive for the program to scan.

Click the "Start Scan" button or option.

Open the scan history for the USB drive when the scan is complete to see a list of viruses and warnings identified by the antivirus software.

If desired, select the options to "Heal All Infected Files" or "Move the Infected Files to the Virus Vault" to ensure these files are quarantined from your system.

Highlight each infected file in the scan history. Write down the file name of each infected file identified on the USB drive. Minimize the application's window.

Select "Run" from the Windows "Start" menu. In the Run window, type "e:/" at the command prompt to switch to your USB drive (or type the drive letter for your USB drive). Press the Enter key.

Type "attrib -s -h -r -a *.*" at the command prompt to remove the system, hidden, read-only and archive file attributes.

Press the Enter key.

Type "del ####.+++" where "####" is the file name of the infected file and "+++" is the file extension, at the command prompt line.

Press the Enter key.

For example, "del terriblevirus.exe" will specifically delete the Terrible Virus executable file. Repeat for each infected file on your list identified in Step 4.

Close the command prompt window; that is, exit the Run utility.

Maximize the window for your anti-virus program (which is still open) and repeat Steps 2 to 7 until no virus is detected on your USB drive.

Exit the anti-virus application.

or
Click start click on my computer you should see your usb drive right click then select format.

I install anti virus blue screen pop up and warning do nt install to many anti virus, I just install one .....

The easiest and fastest way to solve this problem is to run a registry cleaner software. A registry cleaner can eliminate errors in your record. This record stores all information about the software, drivers, applications and games that are installed on your computer. And in time, it can get bad, because some obsolete entries are not deleted and can lead to what they call the "errors". By using a registry cleaner, the errors can be eradicated and increases the speed of your computer in the process. Registry cleaners work by scanning each file and then checking to see if it's corrupt or causing problems. If they find that it is broken, the registry cleaner will replace or fix the file for you to make your computer become free of errors. In addition, the errors will not happen if you regularly check and care for your computer system.

My computer had been infected by a virus a few days ago then I run a full system scan in my computer and deleted all virus infected files then I restarted my computer and log in using my username and...

When you turn on your computer press F8 for the startup options and choose Safe Mode. When the computer enters Safe Mode run another system scan and then restart. If you are unable to enter your account again, try to do a System Restore (Start\All Programs\Accessories\System) to a date before the infection happened and then do another full system scan.

Hi, need to get remote virus/trojan removal... anything I download is immediately infected.. help? Jasmine.

Hi. Sorry to here of your infection., Luckily, Microsoft has an answer for it.
Go to this website:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

And click on the full system scan button
It may ask you to allow activex, but that's ok, it's needed to run and is part of the program.

Let it scan all the way, then after it scans, hyst click next and it should get rid of all the bugs.

The only other option is to use a different computer to download Microsoft Security Essentials, put it on a flash drive, or on a cd {recommended}. If it's on a flash drive, the drive could get infected when you plug it into your computer, but not a cd. Run the MSE installer, and it will immediately run a scan, as part of it's installation.
It is a free program from Microsoft, and it is a great anti-virus program, with built in anti-spyware and anti-malware ! I know this works, because a virus had destroyed my Norton AV, and I had to get something that would automatically block processes from viruses. MSE does that.
I hope this info is helpful, and I hope you get those bugs out of your computer.

The school computer was loaded with different kinds of viruses?what would I do after I downloaded an anti-virus software?

Hi. Thanks for your question.

Every anti-virus software has function called "full scan" or "deep scan" you need to perform this scan to remove all of the viruses. After it's finished program should give you report on how many viruses it's fund and what are your option on what do to with infected files. To have peace of mind run scan again after first one has finished. That way you can be sure that PC is free of viruses.

Thank You for using FixYa.

An e mail has been sent to all my addresses i have not sent it how does this happen

You used your E-mail on a computer that was infected with a keylogging virus and now the virus is sending out "spam" mail to everyone associated with your e-mail. Change your email password and scan your personal computer for viruses and spyware. Some good anti-virus/anti-spyware programs to use would be Malwarebytes, Avast!, and SuperAntiSpyware. Also, be careful about what computers you use from now on when you check your e-mail.

Step 2. Remove ThinkPoint associated malware

Download MalwareBytes Anti-malware (MBAM). Close all programs and Windows on your computer.

Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing, make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

i think those virus have injected some registry files on your system...try scanning with a good and updated anti-virus..and download CCLEANER and run the issue registry scanner.

btw,, its better to scan the OS with an anti-virus via safemode.
