Re: How do i open?

Hi To clear the inside dirt from your mobil cover you need to open that cover gently and then you can can clean it with cotton and again put the cover back > i recommend that you should go to any mobil store and in front of your presence you can tell the person to do it ,,,it will not charge you much money and also it will reduce the risk factor Good Luck

Hello, Can you tell me how to get inside my nokia 6085 cellphone screen so I can clean all the dust of the inside of the screen. Thank you Robyn

To clean the dirt and rust on your lcd screen is so easy to do.

Here are the Tools to be use,any improvise tool can do.

* you can use small,precision flat screw driver the same as a swiss knife or any.
* a clean clothe
* scotch tape
* a T6 precision screw driver or any tool that can remove the screw,even a sharp knife or swiss knife can do.

Here is the procedure on how to disassemble the upper block portion.

1. remove the battery first before dismantling the upper block portion to avoid electro-static components on your mobile, might result to a short circuit due to the used of metal tools that contacts some parts of it.

2. now at the back portion of the upper block, you can see a margin located at the bottom part centered,lift up the back cover using the flat screw driver all through the sides, some area is to hard to release because there are some hidden clips inserted.

3. upon removal of the back cover of the upper block, you can see a flex connection on the left side bottom,gently pill it up or pull the plastic to remove from the board care of that flex connector cause it is just only may from a thin,plastic parts and easy to be teared.

4. Now you can also see 4 screw, release the screw using a T6 presision screw driver then place it to a safe area, might be lose due to its small size parts.

5. carefully lift up the entire module (the board with lcd) then place it on a safe area cause the lcd might be broken when dropped off.

6. using a clean clothe, wipe the glass type cover of the housing which dust and dirt is well as the lcd.

7. to remove some marks or fingerprint marks on the glass cover or lcd, use a scotch tape then place it all over the panel of lcd and glass cover by pulling up and down.

8. now assembly it and be guide and look forward for the pattern on how you dismatle all parts and position.

Take a look at some scene here on this video (just be guided on the particular portions)

Hoping this procedure is clear enough for you.. Thank you for visiting fixya...

Water damage

Remove the battery and let the unit sit for a day or two. It takes a lot longer to dry out than it seems. If it doesn't work after that amount of time, the water probably did permanent damage. The cell company's regular warranty covers defects, but their premium insurance should cover even water damage. If they don't cover it at all, the repair cost probably isn't worth it if you can get a deal on a new phone. Definitely worth a shot to call or stop in your cell company's physical store and chat them up.

I hv just purchase LG KM555 and the problem is yesterday by chance my finger touches some icon and the loading took place suddenly the screen became blue and was not able to get out of it and finally we...

The blue screen is one of many weakness of this unit. This result from Maximum application, low memory, full inbox, long hours of using WiFi and many more. The only thing I know to rectify that is to restart,, which is a bit annoying. So, use it caution and care because its not a HEAVY DUTY type of phone.

For the plastic cover or screen protector, buy a specific protector for your that phone. The reason is that there's a part on your screen that serves as SENSOR (Near the LG symbol, right side) . That sensor is used to prevent accidental taps during call. Even a transparent plastic will reduce its sensitivity.

My lg banter does not start up. When I turn it on it just repeats the screen when it turns on over and over again. What can I do to fix this problem?

Open up your front phone cover (if you dare), and take out the screen and wipe the inner part and your screen. Sometimes perhaps water seeped through or some dirt to spoilt the connection of your phone to the screen.

My touch screen won't work and I looking at how to text with my htc touch pro2 till I can get my phone fixed.

----- First: the non-working touch screen ----
Thing is, what mostly happens is that an area becomes stuck, i.e. permanently pressed. That is why no other (additional) presses are recognised an the touch screen appears nonresponsive. Reasons for this can be deformations of the whole screen cover caused by temperature or small point-like deformations, as caused by impact on sharp things. (Mine was caused by impact (flat on the ground, indoors), but there was a small piece of dirt underneath the screen protector....!)

So the needle trick pushes the screen cover up an "unsticks" this area. Depending on what's wrong with your particular screen, you need to lift either the whole (often slightly oil-as-wasser-ly discoloured in this case) or the single spot (as in my case).

To make a long story short, this "defect" is neither caused by dirt nor solved by removing it. Thus, I really recommend a long, thin but blunt needle (so as to neither scratch the display - be careful, it's just below! - nor the screen cover from the underside)
Also, notice that the screen cover is glued. So don't slide the needle along the underside, but pin in regular distances (it might come off otherwise).
I'd even say (no guarantee, of course) that it is worth doing even if you are still in warranty, as I doubt, somebody will look if the glue was pierced - or that you even can detect such in the first place. It will likely save you money for shipping and time without your phone (provided they do not blame you for it and let you pay for repair).

Hope I could help.

--- Second: how to text -----
Sadly, you can't. There is possibility to tap on "send". You could try a keyboard button remapper (there is one on xda-developers) and remap an existing key to left or right command key (those were present in previous phones). I doubt, though, you could do this without touch, since IIRC you need to "ok" changed settings - requiring a command key...
