Question about Acer Aspire 5720 6497 Laptop
The problem is you are buying third party adapters and this is causing the problem. Buy the original charger because although the third party adapter might have same wattage or voltage rating it surely has diffrent amp rating and this causes the overheating also of the charger.

Rashidbb, I would find the drivers first, (this may be difficult), and have them ready to install before downgrading to XP. This way you wont have to look around for drivers on a machine that doesnt function 100%

if you need drivers, you can download it from www.acerpanam.com.
for recovery cd, i don't think acer have it online, you need to order it from them.
FYI, if you haven't delete the partition in your hdd, you can use alt+f10 to re-install your Operating system and after that, you can create your own recovery cd.
