It requires service person to check your camera . Software updating sometimes may solve your problem . If software updating doesnot work then it is hardware fault . You need to contact service person to get it repaired .

Hi
Make sure you have not set a dial control to say manual focus or Macro focus.
Run through the menu's on the screen to see if you have inadvertantly changed sometihg.
As you are computing - give Pentax Technical Support Team a a go on their website

This is most likely a problem with the dial itself. Generally speaking the software within the camera does not fail unless something breaks within the camera. To make absolutely sure - contact the manufacturer and find out if there is an active recall for this product. If it is a manufacturing or software fault they will recall it. Otherwise it will have to be professionally repaired.

First thing that you can try is to reset the camera to its default settings and then after that check if everything is already working

Start by removing the battery from your camera and try again, also try restoring the camera to default.
you didn't include the brand or model.

well you can get a free repair estimate from  www.advancecamera.com/repair
It does sound like a hardware problem.

When I try to turn my flash on it says macro mode, What is this and how do I fix it?

Macro mode is for taking pictures of subjects very close to the camera. In this mode the flash is disabled.

Without knowing the model of your Digital Concepts camera I can't tell you how to take it out of macro mode. If there's a button on the back marked with a flower icon, press it. Otherwise look in the menu.

I am using microsoft excel 2007, the code is not running, the macro was disabled.. How to enable the macro...?

From the excel help file

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button o12filemenubutton_za10077102.gif, and then click Excel Options.
  2. Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click Macro Settings.
  3. Click the options that you want:
    • Disable all macros without notification Click this option if you don't trust macros. All macros in documents and security alerts about macros are disabled. If there are documents with unsigned macros that you do trust, you can put those documents into a trusted location. Documents in trusted locations are allowed to run without being checked by the Trust Center security system.
    • Disable all macros with notification This is the default setting. Click this option if you want macros to be disabled, but you want to get security alerts if there are macros present. This way, you can choose when to enable those macros on a case by case basis.
    • Disable all macros except digitally signed macros This setting is the same as the Disable all macros with notification option, except that if the macro is digitally signed by a trusted publisher, the macro can run if you have already trusted the publisher. If you have not trusted the publisher, you are notified. That way, you can choose to enable those signed macros or trust the publisher. All unsigned macros are disabled without notification.
    • Enable all macros (not recommended, potentially dangerous code can run) Click this option to allow all macros to run. This setting makes your computer vulnerable to potentially malicious code and is not recommended.
    • Trust access to the VBA project object model This setting is for developers and is used to deliberately lock out or allow programmatic access to the VBA object model from any Automation client. In other words, it provides a security option for code that is written to automate an Office program and programmatically manipulate the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) environment and object model. This is a per user and per application setting, and denies access by default. This security option makes it more difficult for unauthorized programs to build "self-replicating" code that can harm end-user systems. For any Automation client to be able to access the VBA object model programmatically, the user running the code must explicitly grant access. To turn on access, select the check box.

When i try to turn my flash on it says Macro Mode

You're in macro mode and the flash won't function. Check your manual to find out how to get out of macro mode. Most cameras have a button or a dial with a picture of a flower representing macro mode. Find that and change it.

I cannot get super macro mode

Turn the dial- the one that lets you select a mode. You have to be in certain modes to allow for super macro.... (I have a powershot S2) Try AV or manual, or a couple of others. There are a few that will not allow super macro. That's your problem. Good luck!

Try going into the M(anual) mode on the selector dial and then turn off the flash (press the right side of the controller button until you see the lightning bolt with a bar through it). The macro shooting option should still be available in the manual mode.

Macro mode

The Macro Mode is easily accessed by pressing the second oval shaped button to the left of the arrow pad on the back of the camera. This button is designated by a green colored box with a curved doubled headed arrow – which will rotate the image file when in view mode. The same button also has a flower icon, which represents MACRO MODE when in Shooting mode. Pressing thios button in Shooting Mode displays a menu where you select three options: OFF, Close-Up or Super Close-Up photography.
