Pioneer homet cinema system XV DV303: 'no...

Hi there, I have had my system for about 5 years and never had any problems with it. Recently went to play a DVD and it says 'no disk' - sounds like it is trying to read it but cant. Audio CD's play fine and the everything else works perfectly, it just wont play DVD's? I have ordered a lens cleaner to clean it which should come in a few days but is this a common problem and anything else I can try? Would it be worth paying to have it fixed, seems a shame to have to replace it completely when everything else works fine!

cath My 6year old XV-DV303 system works great just any shop bought DVD says No Disc, does not even attempt to make the reading noise. I know the lens reads differently when playing CD's. All info I have read about this prob points to a non cost effective repair.
Does anyone else know differently?
