I've recently been given the 4th generation nano for xmas and it seemed to start stalling and then working again but now it's just frozen altogether on one song which is at present paused. I don't have a clue what to do!

Hi there Miss Earle,

To reset your iPod you need to press and hold the Menu and Select(centre) buttons until the screen goes blank and an apple logo appears.
You can download the manual for your ipod from here:
http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodnano
