I wish there was a ONE answer fits all...as all manufacturers have their own unique opportunities.

The most common problem in UPS'S are the batteries going "dead"...which may or may not damage the following 1. The fuse for the batteries 2. The battery charging circuit.

Hope this helps

Im looking for a dixon tms8 circuit diagram

Are you trying to repair it? If so you dont need one. Test the mosfet to see if they are shorted. Replace all needed, look on board for bad components, such as bad or leaky caps, burned diodes, check other parts around each one. Check in transistors for short or opens, replace as needed. Look for input caps swollen etc, etc. they are all built almost the same way, some with better parts cheaper ones with lesser an weaker parts.

Hello, I have a APC Backup UPS 800 (5 year old) started beeping. Assumed it was a battery problem and ordered a new APC RBC32 battery. When the battery arrived, installed it to the unit only to see...

Because of the electrical burning it is likely that the battery was not the cause of the issue in the first place, it is also likely that the unit will not be able to be repaired by you personally. Often these batteries have very long warranties and coverage, so see if APC will take the unit back along with the battery, if the battery was used in a faulty machine it may have been damaged so i would return that too to make sure that the problem doesn't come back in the future.

In my understanding, These pulsar evollution 800 have a design fault. We have worked with more than 8 of these and, at some point, they just don't recover after a power shortage. Sometimes, at random, they could come up. But it becomes a real nightmare to deal with this issue when you usually install a ups for a critical non-stop system.

My UPS transformer burned. I want to buy a new transformer

the question is why did the ups tx burn, normally if a tx burns their will other damage to the unit, unless you are talking about an external tx, perhaps for voltage conversion.
UPS system are very difficult to repair as their are so many interconnected sections and parts. If you take the tx out and take it to a good tx maker he should be able to wind another the same, of course it depends on how damaged the original is. Even if you get a new tx it may not be the fix for the problem.

Hope this helps

Burning smell came out from the device.

Shutdown the equipment connected to the UPS, disconnect the load and remove the main power to the UPS. Open the UPS to see if you can see any sign of burning component. Confrim that the UPS is not Overloaded before the shutdown. If you are not an experienced techinician with UPS please contact an experience Technician because there are life Voltages in the UPS which can cause electric shocks.

Ok there could be a whole mess of reasons why but let me break down a few okay.

1. Bad battery
2. bad fuse
