My /copier/scaner Laser Printer Brother DCP-7030 is restated
Remove the Drum and Reconnect it
Restart the printer
Please check the connections

It seams hat no just that the board is dead..but there are non for sell on the net .so ..for a $200 max printer ..it is not worth to repair..
I think ..if you need something fast ..and to be almost the same as you had..but reliable ..I would go for a HP like one on this page ..(first 3 ones) ..They seam to be also laser printers..like the one you have ..but usually speed and connectivity is to think of ..(they seam to work wireless ..and they are color )

Canon seam to be a good choice for many ..but it has issues with refilled cartridges..and if you think costs for a page ..I will think twice ..and go for HP ...cause they have a good support ..usually supports well refilled cartridges..(some need reset for the counter ..but work ..)
HP will be my choice for one ..in this range of price ...(under $200)
By the way ..make some research ..after you choose 3 different models in the same range ..and price ...about how much will cost the ink ..and how many copies they make with one load..This way you will see the differences on that too ..
Some are really expensive ..and do not print much ....and you end up to pay it several times in one year, if you buy original cartridges..and use it in office regime ...
