Question about Tomtom GO 720 GPS Receiver
My tomtom 720 which is about 6 months old will not start up, it freezes on the initial screen and reseting it does not solve the problem. I have attached it to my Mac via the docking station but it does not function - the Mac TomTom software keeps asking me to remove and re-attach the device.
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, and based on your description a firmware issue. Much as would be wanted, there are no button combination/reset easy fix. The firmware has to be flashed backed into the unit. Not unless you have access to a bootloader and the basic firmware (not updates), then unfortunately, the only practical recourse is to send it back to the manufacturer (not even the dealer or the point of purchase).
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
