Hi Natalie
Sounds like you're having logic board troubles. You need to take it to an ipod repair specialist to take a look at it. Sorry to bring the bad news. Chances are it's not a simple repair and will need a new logic board and they're not cheap:

If it's still less than a year old take it back to an apple store asap for a free replacement.

All the best

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My iPod Touch (3rd gen) will not play through my IS630 docking station. What might I be doing wrong?

Does the IS630 say it will work with your model iPod and iOS 7.0.4? Not all docking stations are compatible.
Have you went to their support site?
Sometimes this works

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren't affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to backup

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Sometimes an iOS updates breaks compatibility and you will have to wait for iOS update or an update to the dock's firmware.

Ipod nano 3rd gen. adding music-intructions

You may take a look at this guide, it will teach you how to use limewire to download free songs and video, and then put them on iPod or iPhone, it's easy to understand and works pretty well for me.

Gen 3 nano and bose docking station

Have you tried another iPod on it?? I suspect that if you do, that one won't work either. If it's a Bose SoundDock then they are well known for having problems with the iPod connector getting loose. Try with another iPod. If results are the same, take your SoundDock back. Bose should exchange it straight away.
