Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 Notebook

No Audio Output Device Installed.

I wonder how come I have this message when all along I have been listening to music, DVDs and speaking on it. This morning when I turned my computer on, I found that the sound is gone.

    I have a compaq c700 notebook pc and the other day the sound jkust stopped working. The volume mixer says "no audio device is installed) but the other boxes say that my Smart Audio 221 is installed and working. I tried plugging speakers to the laptop and still no sound. The speaker Volume says : "0"...please help!!!

Good Evening,

I have Campaq Presario V 6000 Model initially VISTA was louded by company now i am loaded Win Xp Pack 2 . My Audio speaker is not woking properly. please can give suggestion for this problem.

For no Audio output device installed message, go to device manager uninstall the audio driver. Reinstall the audio driver from either Windows update or from the manufacturer's(your Computer or Laptop) Web site.

Thanks for using FixYa. The drivers are not installed for your Toshiba notebook. You'll need to download & install the audio drivers. You can either download and install it from the drivers & utilities disk that you have got with your notebook. Or can download from this link by selecting the model number of your notebook--

You have to reinstall your sound driver you can do that with the motherboard Cd that came with your computer or you can download it from the website www.drivers.com where you have to select your system model and the operating system that you have in your computer and than dowmnload it

No volume or sound for my Laptop


Please check to see if your sound card is installed/enabled, then check to see if the sound files are set to open with that device. Your computer should already have a media player installed (if you're using Windows). Set your music files to open with the media player.

How do i install audio output device



No Audio Output Device Installed
Some users have been experiencing problems with a "No Audio Output Device Installed" error when trying to play music, or when hovering the mouse over the speaker icon in the system tray. You may get a white X in a red circle to indicate this error.

Go to the device manager by pressing WINDOWS KEY + R to go to the run menu, and then run "devmgmt.msc".

From here, select your malfunctioning audio device(s) and make a note of the driver name. Then, right click on it and select Uninstall. This will remove the audio drivers from your system.

Once this is done, re-load the drivers for your sound card from the CD your manufacturer gave you with your PC or sound device. If you cannot find this, search for the driver on the manufacturers website using the driver name that has been written down. No Audio Output Device Installed
