There should be an option to "automatically connect" when it detects the network. Look for a checkbox.

create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options in the connections tab tick in the box never dial a connection

below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search providers you

have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them

Power on the laptop computer and wait for the operating system to boot before proceeding.

Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop.

From the pop-up menu select "Enable."

This activates the wireless Internet options but it does not turn on the wireless receiver.

Push down on the wireless button or wireless switch on the top of the keyboard.

After a moments time the switch or button lights up, signifying the computer is ready for an Internet connection.

Right-click the wireless icon again.

From the pull-up menu choose to view all available wireless networks in the area.

A window appears with all the networks your computer receives some sort of signal from.

Select the wireless network you want access to, type in the password (if required) and click "Connect." Momentarily the laptop computer connects to the Internet.

you should be able to, it depends on the laptop, the os, the wireless adapter, and the settings .

click start Control Panel - Network Connections - right click on 'Wireless connection'

(or similar) and click 'enable'.

right click on the network in the bottom toolbar select open network sharing center

you should have the options to either connect or disconnect or set up a network connection

you will need to open up your network connections

click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red X or a yellow exclamation or question mark ! ?

you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled

The LTE indicates the phone network signal strength and not the Wifi signal strength. Go to your wifi setup and connect screen to see the Wifi signal strength.
You can try changing your connection to 4G and seeif you get a better connection in your area

When i have no network signal then Why indicate 3G in my mobile nokia e66?

May be you have not disabled 3G and internet roaming in general settings. Some times the cell service provider conveys with the 3 g symbol that the service is available with that provider even if you have disabled it in your phone.

What is network selection? which is better automatic a or b ?

Most GSM handsets offer a choice to select a new network, automatically or manually. The default setting, in most cases, is automatic, which instructs your mobile to automatically connect to the strongest network signal available. As you move, the handset will continually monitor the available networks, and keep you connected to the strongest one. In a manual network selection setting, your mobile handset will detect if there is more than one network present and offer you a choice. If you then select one network, your mobile phone will remain connected to it regardless of the alternative networks available. You may prefer to remain connected to one network if it offers cheaper outgoing call charges. To manually select networks please refer to your mobile phone user manual for instructions. Your Jersey Telecom SIM card can store a list of your preferred roaming partners. If you have an automatic network selection setting, and there are two networks of equal strength available, the mobile phones will connect you to the one that is highest on your SIM card’s preferred list. The list can be edited by using the appropriate menu on your mobile phone. Check your mobile phone user manual for details.

Nokia 770 internet settings....

hello there! thanks for using Fixya.com!

Setting up a wireless connection is easy. The Connection Manager searches for any wireless networks within range and displays their signal strength, and whether the networks are encrypted. The 770 supports both WEP and WPA encryption, so provided you know the network key, it can connect to any wireless network.

When it's out of range of a network, the Nokia can connect to your mobile phone using Bluetooth, letting you browse the Internet over GPRS.

Once you've exchanged Bluetooth passkeys with your phone, you have to manually enter your network provider's GPRS settings into the 770. This has the potential to be a real pain in the neck, but fortunately the 770's mobile settings wizard already knows GPRS settings for the major mobile networks, which takes much of the pain out of the process.

Loading Web pages over GPRS is far slower than over a wireless network, but it's quick enough to look up the occasional bit of information and certainly fast enough to send and receive e-mails.

Hope this will help you!

Connects then disconnects.....PLEASE HELP!!!

Every time you click repair on windows the ip address of your network card is changed from your originally set one to something similair to 194.168.x.x, obviously your router will not see your pc after this. You need to connect to your router via an RJ45 lan cable to ensure it is set up properly and enter the settings menu and make sure dhcp is enabled to give the pc an automatic ip address and check that the time out is set at zero, also check your MTU, it should be set at 1493 or 1500, obviously make sure your network card is set to obtain an ip address in the TCP/IP properties. just a few things that can be checked, firstly in the routers settings look at the transfer speed of the router(not the connection speed) and see if it's set at 108MBPS, if so your wireless network cards on your pc may only be able to connect at a maximum speed of 54MBPS, unless you have the latest 108 or 125MBPS g type cards. Secondly you should be able to check the wireless signal strength by the icon in your task bar or software you use, as if you have thick walls or objects in the line of the signal from router to pc's, the strength drops and can read low and therefore cause you to lose internet connection entirely. You can also try changing the channel at which the router runs, normally this is channel 6, but trying channel 11, which is the farthest away from appliance interference may give you better results, but both router and network card channel numbers will have to be changed. Lastly if you have the software that came with the wireless card, dissable it by right clicking the pc network icons in your taskbar and click on enable WZC (Wireless Zero Configuration), as this is a more stable connection to your router and its transfer speed.
