May be there is some prob with your OS. Before reinstalling that, i suggest you download & install a freeware called Unlocker. It unlocks the files & helps delete them easily. Google Unlocker & install that. Its a must have utility.

Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.clean up ur registry using reginout

try this try to go to add and remove programs, then remove the toolbars u find, then after removing , try to scan your system or this is a problem beacause of any infection or currupt files in CPU
registered... u must have to scan u r system with antivirus program or
repair registry tools........OR
try this Just press cntrl+alt+del and in task manager go to file, new task and then type in explorer.exe then press enter (or return) these kind of problem occurs with the mostof te times with the toolbars might be with the yahoo toolbar or some dictionary toolbar...
the issue u r having seems to be like that ur computer might be infected with the spywares or malwares and trojan and what u can do is that u can run the scan of cyberdefender and then if u want the guaranteed resolution then u can call up their technical support...or what u can try is that if the prob is within a week then u can restore ur system to an earlier time when the computer was working fine without any prob....good luck
If you are using Google Toolbar, uninstall it. There is some conflict btwn MB, Vista and Toolbar that causes Vista not to see MB (at times) - I fought the non-recog prob for 2 weeks with MB suppoort and just discovered this idea this AM - I have sinces installed the Toolbar beta version and everything is OK - so far ; - )
