This is a fat PS2 I assume. The drive tray has come off of it's track.

You will need to open up the PS2 and remove the inner cover of the DVD drive. With slow and even pressure you will need to twist the drive tray so that it pops back into place.

The tray is surprisingly flexible and you should have little trouble getting it back into place. I've done this several times with my own machines as well as others.

The number one obstacle that you will face is to not break off the wires to the power and eject buttons. When you remove the top half of the shell you should flip it toward the front of the machine then swing it around so that the wires will have slack.

Try a different output cable/lead may be faulty.
Also double check, any on-board ribbon cables in the PS2 itself.
If non of this works Video Chip may have blown.
This can sometimes be seen under close inspection ( burn mark on 1 or more Corners) .

Disk won't spin

My sons playstation 2 went to browser and after reading the only one solution of putting a cup on top of it, we did try that but we found that the problem was the silver piece had moved, so after we moved the silver piece toward the middle toward where the disk goes, then closed it, and put a little pressure on top and you could feel it turning , then we opened it back up, the silver part had moved back again, but the playstation started back working then without any pressure.. so my suggestion is move the silver part close to where the disk goes.and it will move itself back....It sure worked for us..I was beginning to think money down the drain for this playstation 2....thank God it worked so maybe it will work for you...

Hi isolationman,

The screws are covered up by the pads on the bottom and square hole fillers. Take a thin blade knife and pry the squares up to reveal the screws.
