You need to go into main programming of the system, and set the phone to access those lines.
First ID the 2 new extensions. Do this by going to the phone, and pressing the Feature Key "Button with a little black globe", * and 0. then press the intercom button. This will show you the extension number. Press release "Red button with the phone and arrow downward".
Then Press feature key "Button with the black Globe"
and again "**266344"
go to terminals and sets. next to the buttons, you will see triangles , 3 for a while and 4 some times. The keys just next to them are your scrolling and enter keys.
Scroll to "Terminals and Sets", press the enter button "Top right triangle" and enter in the extension and enter.
then scroll to Line Access, enter, line Assignment. For each line, you have to change it to either Appear and ring, appr or unassigned. Set to appear and ring or appr.
Do is for each extension to want to have acces to those lines.

In tech programming (Config) you need to got to the Line data and remove lines 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 from the pool it is in, make it none. Note if line 1 is in use then you cannot call out. Note sure why you would want line 1 as your outbound, systems are to use the bottom lines out and work their way up and inbound starts at the top and works their way down.

Changing programming on a Norstar system must be done using a display phone. Using a M7310 or T7316 the right 2 buttons under the display are "NEXT" and "SHOW" respectively.

The solution for someone using the administrator phone (receptionist phone) is after discovering you have a fax call, depress the <link> button. Dial the fax number, wait for it to answer, then depress <link> again. This places call 1 with an outside number.
Apparently this is also available if you have a feature button by depressing <feature> <7> <1> instead of <link>. I haven't tried this so don't take my word for it.
This can also be used to forward a caller to an outside line, such as a cell phone. In the manufacturing business, our shop manager is never in the office. I may ask him if this is a viable solution.

5. Press the NEXT key until the display reads NAMES at the top left corner.
6. The bottom right corner reads CHANGE, press the far right soft key.
7. To move from one letter to the next use the far right and far left soft keys or the # key.
8. When you are finished Press next.
9. Press the HEADING key to get back to TERMINALS & SETS and start again!
