Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook
I dont understand why my hard drive is not showing its full capacity, I think it needs to be re-formatted. It is a laptop hard drive and its in a external case that I was using for an upgrade kit can someone help ?
Hello and welcome to FixYa!,
You have 2 or more Partitions on the HDD.
I once had 32.7GB showing instead of 320GB and went into Device Manager:
( MY COMPUTER> MANAGE> DISK MANAGEMENT (ON THE LEFT)> MEDIA)
And look for your HDD Drive then Delete the 2nd Partition and Re-Format the HDD
Hope this helps --P3NGYJ03

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
