Maxtron keyboard My maxtron keyboard space bar fell off. what do i do?

if the keyboard is too old and if you have used it a lot, then ou have to replace the keyboard. The space bar alone had gone.

Unfortunately when this happens one of the small clips have broken. This usually means you have to replace the keyboard to repair the problem.

You can easily fix your space bar. I fixed mine last month when my daughter pulled it out of the keyboard. I used this video tutorial guide to help install the space bar key back into place. Its really very simple. have a look:

You shouldn't have to remove any keys, try this >>>>>
Get yourself a clean dry paintbrush, turn the laptop off but leave the lid open, turn it on its side and gently brush the keys, gently tap around the keyboard with the back of the brush to knock out any foreign objects or beads that maybe trapped under the keys.

Yup! you can do that.. carefully... i repeat, carefully pry-upward the space bar using a hard plastic card (I.D cards are best). Clean the hinge with a brush. Press down till you hear a click to return the key back to its position.

Take the wire piece out of the keyboard and attach it to the space bar by snapping the long horizontal section into the notched moldings you will see along one edge of the underside of the spacebar. Now turn the spacebar back over, orient it with the high side toward you and the lower side toward the other keys, fit the retainer ends into the slots in the keyboard, and push the spacebar center pin back into its hole. The wire is not really a retainer; it is there to transfer to the center pin any pressure applied to either end of the bar.

Crazy Glue. Individual keys are not available for resale at reasonable price. You could replace entire keyboard cheaper. That is an option for you. Contact local pc shop.

The space bar key is connected tothe keyboard a little bit differently then any other key.

There is a metal retainer connectedto the space bar key (on some keyboard models). Separate the retainer from thespace bar key with a flathead screwdriver.

Install the retainer back inplace as it shown on the picture. You have to engage the retainer with thesmall hooks on the keyboard.

Put the space bar key back inplace and gently press on it with fingers until it snaps back in place.

That’s it. The space bar key isinstalled back in place and should work as before. If you still cannot fix yourkeyboard, then you’ll have to find a new oneand replace it.

You cleaned the rubber under the buttons and the buttons too? All you do is put the metal bars straight down then angle it about 10 degree towards you then put it in like a regular key, but if you lost the wire then.... might need to get a new one, heh.
