Antivirus 2009 is a virus. They want your money; you give it to them and you will be in no better shape and out your cash. You first must boot into safe mode, go into c:\program files\ and delete the av 2009 folder from there. Then you must go into msconfig and uncheck the startup entry in the startup tabs for that program. Then you must go into the system32 folder in windows and manually delete the arbitrary files that it has dropped in there. If you don't know much about windows, I would recommend hiring a local service shop to take care of it for you because if you delete the wrong thing then you could mess up your entire windows installation and you'll be unable to boot from windows. If you need someone to come to your location and take care of it for you, send me an email at info@antiochpc.com and I can take care of it for you. Thanks and please remember to give this solution a fixya rating. Thanks! :c)

My computer freezes up and the message "Warning: Unresponsive Script" appears in a box. It gives me 3 choices, debug, stop script, continue all of which I've tried and none of which work.

stop the script, script allow people track you, my recommended advice, go to the security settings, than goto advanced section and if you have an option to restore advanced settings, reset to default, do that, than security options look for custom level, open look at every thing you want to access or allow script to run your computer.
script puts all those pop up ads in the internet, track your buying habits, every site you visit, look for internet provider, look in the manage you add-on programs install programs fight the script, call GET ADD-ON, read each one select the one you want and dont use the ones you do not want, i use GREASEMONKEY, ADBLOCKPLUS, FIREFTP, COOKIECONTROL, LEECHBLOCK,
all the strick access for script,

How to remove ask. com from my computer?

run any malware removal tool and remove unnecessary programs from the computer. reset internet explorer.
Open run box (Win key+ R), type inetcpl.cpl, click ok, go to advance tab, click reset, and click again reset then close.

It may help you if there is any add-on causing this issue.

These days there many advertising apps get downloaded on the computer automatically during the installation of the core software. e.g GARMIN.

Removing a pop up window on center of viewsonic monitor 2231ww screen

The pop-up window come due to any software program. This is not related to the monitor. So you have to check the software which causes this.

Generally pop-up window comes from internet browser. You may change the setting of your internet browser to "Blobk POP-ups". If you tell me what browser you are using i can send you the instruction.

If the pop-up is coming from any other program then there is no general instruction.

One more thing you may try. Do a virus clean. That will solve pop-ups due to virus.

Hello, my lg flat screen monitor appears to work at start of computer powerup, since I can the "dell..." etc. but then after 3 seconds fades to black. When I click on the buttons on the side...

Since the monitor is working, it sounds like the computer is not booting up. See if you can get it to boot up by pressing F8 during the DELL screen (before it fades to black) (you may have to press F8 repeatedbly)... this should take you to a screen for Windows startup options. Choose Safe Mode and see if you computer starts up completely. If it will start up into safe mode, then there is a driver or something that is preventing windows from starting normally. Have you added any software or hardware recently before this happened? If so, while in safe mode remove any software that you've recently added and see if you can start Windows normally after that. If not, right click on the My Computer icon (either on the desktop or in the Start menu) and choose Manage from the pop-up menu. Click on Event Viewer. Depending on whether you are using Windows XP or Vista or 7, the following will differ slightly.

Under Event viewer, look into the System and Application logs for errors to see what is causing the computer to stop loading. Let me know what you find so I can help you troubleshoot further.

Some sites the scroll down speed is really slow. It seems like text pages are ok and ones with images really slows the scroll responce down. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

Sounds like you are having problems with your Internet connection speed. You could try some of these tips..
  • Step 1 Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections.
    Select "Internet Options."
Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, click "Automatically." Under browsing history, click "Settings."
If you're using dial-up, set the number under Disk Space to Use to between 250 and 1024 megabytes (MB). If you're using a DSL or cable connection, set it between 50 and 75 MB. Click "OK."
  • Step 2 Select "Delete" under Browsing history.
Click "Delete files..." under Temporary Internet Files to clear your browser cache.
Click "Delete cookies..." to remove all cookies from your hard drive.
  • Step 3 Disable any browser add-ons you don't need. In Internet Options, click "Programs." Click "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer." Select the name of the add-on you don't want to load, and select "Disable" under Settings at the bottom of the dialogue box. Avoid deleting ActiveX controls as this will most likely cause the browser to prompt you each time you encounter content on the web, such as Flash animations, that use that control.
  • Step 4 Switch to a faster browser. While Internet Explorer is the most popular browser, it often causes pages to load slowly. Download a free browser such as Firefox, Opera or Chrome to get a quick speed boost to your browsing.
  • Step 5 Disable images in your browser. To disable images in Internet Explorer, open Internet Options and click the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to "Multimedia" and uncheck "Show Pictures."
To disable them in Firefox, click Tools > Options in your browser window and select "Content." Uncheck the box beside "Load images automatically."
To disable images in Opera, open the arrow beside the camera icon at the bottom of your browser, and select "No images."
To browse with Google Chrome without images, right click on the Chrome shortcut and place the switch "-disable-images" without quotes after the last quotation mark in the path of the file.
  • Step 6 Disable active content if you're still experiencing a problem with your browsing speed. Return to the "Advanced" tab in Internet Options. Uncheck the boxes beside "Play animations in webpages" and "Play sounds in webpages."

Dialog boxes keep popping up saying that "Update manager failed " followedby other related boxes. I cannot get them to go away.

    Hi,
If you haven't installed some kind of an update manager then these dialogue boxes are most likely due to adware or spyware on your system.
Try installing an anti-spyware utility an do a full system scan for spyware. There are many spyware utilities available on the internet for free. Do a google search to find a free spyware application.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Hi there,
make sure you have downloaded the latest flash player at www.adobe.com.

    Also, try these steps
    1. Right-click in the standard youtube video window (non-full screen).
    2. Choose 'Settings...' from the Flash Player's pop-up menu.
    3. Uncheck the 'Enable Hardware Acceleration'
    4. Click 'Close'.
And lastly, In Internet explorer Tools>options settings, make sure your security is not set too high. Default Med High usually is best, any higher might case some video issues.

usually this problem is caused by a faulty inverter circuit. transistors might been running too hot or a leaky capacitors also.not an easy task but try looking down for any defects on high voltage sections.
