Thats exactly it! Music Creator often saves as a CWP or CWB file. You have to export it out of the application as a MP3 file in order for it to play in other programs.

I am not familiar with Music Creator myself, but from my experience with audio software, the default save format is a project file that can only be opened in the program itself for editing. When saving the file, make sure it is being saved as something that can be opened in iTunes, such as mp3 or wav format.

My Ipod nano contains all my music. Unable to transfer to laptop

Unfortunately iTunes doesn't let you transfer anything other than your iTunes store purchases from your iPod.

Totransfer all your iPod content, all your music, playlists, videos, podcasts and photos to your new iTunes library you will need todownload software like TouchCopy.

Here is how to use TouchCopy

  1. Download and Install TouchCopy. Downloads are free and are available for both PC and Mac.
  2. Start up TouchCopy by double-clicking the TouchCopy icon on your desktop
  3. Connect your iPod or iPhone to your computer. TouchCopymay start iTunes - don't worry, TouchCopy has fixed it so that iTuneswill not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.
  4. Now select which songs you want to copy into iTunes, if you want toselect all your music, select "Music" from the list on the left andclick on "Copy to iTunes" button in the TouchCopy control bar. In a similar way, you can also use TouchCopy to copy your playlists, videos, podcasts, photos, contacts, calendars and notes.
  5. Whenyou are satisfied that all your iPod content is safely in iTunes, useiTunes to re-sync your iPod which will enable you to add new content toit.

Lost the music while updating to itunes 9 now itunes does not recognise my devices

My first question to you is what operating system are you using?
Additionally, even if iTunes 9 doesn't see some of your your music files, they still should be there.
As an example, my iTunes music files are in the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Gordy\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
Your location will be similar to this. Also, when you load iTunes, choose the Help tab and that should be able to lead you through it.
Not knowing what you specifically have, this is all I ca offer at the moment.

ITunes has a backup program for storing your purchased music from ITunes. If you back it up any other way, It can't be used due to the licensing keys and how they are stored.

As far as the rest goes, You can copy them to an SD card folder by folder just by copying them from your MP3 folder into the SD card using my computer. If your collection is too big you might run into some limitations with an SD card due to the size of it.

The best way to do it is by DVD or use a thumb drive big enough to store the whole library if possible.
