Hi x1mega...

When the Apple Logo is stuck

If this happens, put the iPod into Disk Mode through the diagnostic menu.
Then connect the iPod to your computer and update or restore the iPod.
Sometimes you can get away with just updating the iPod, so try that first, but usually you have to restore the iPod .
As always make backups of your music files, because the restore procedure will eliminate them.

How to Put Load(s) of Music on Ipod Chromatic

HELLO,

This will show you how to use minimum space to have maximum music files on you Ipod Chromatic.

STEP 1: Locate all your music files that you want to upload on you iPod.
(Using Either PC or MAC )

STEP 2: Categorize and name a folder, called musice. If you have
different music files, name other folders music 2, (for mp3)
music 3, (for wma), etc...

STEP 3: Put the different music files in their seperate folders. And then
put all those folders in the main folder called Music.

STEP 4: Plug in your Ipod, and run it in My Computer. Click on the
Music folder, (If using Windows: >>> Right ~ Click on Taskbar
and Click Tile Windows Verticlly). Then Drag and drop the folder
called Music into the Music Folder of your Ipod.

STPE 5: Close all files on the Computer, safely remove the Ipod via device
Manager on Taskbar, (if using Windows).

STEP 6: Enjoy more music for less space :)....lol

Put your ipod in Disk mode, in this way you will be able to delete de music files manually.
  1. Before placing the iPod into disk mode, you should verify that it is charged.
  2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  3. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.

  5. Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect"

How to restore an iPod

If you have a backup before, go onto iTunes, right click on your device on the left-hand side bar, and their should be an option 'Restore From Backup', or something similar, click that and it'll restore your iPod to a previous backup.

iPod Data Recovery software can help you, it enables you preview and recover all contents from the iTunes' backup file, including your iPod photos, videos, notes, calendar and contacts.

How do you delete songs from your Apple iPod 4 GB Silver?

You can set your iTunes to "manually manage music and video", then plug in your iPod to iTunes, and delete the songs from your iPod with iTunes.
Or you may try this ipod tool, it can help you delete iPod music easily, Much better than iTunes

Dropped My Chromatic!

Sounds like you damaged the backlight. A LCD replacement will fix that.

Try either http://www.ipodrefresh.com or http://www.ipodrecharge.com. They specialize in ipod repairs.

Cant delete songs off my ipod

Two possible solutions:

Solution 1. Go to iTunes, go to Edit, Select All, go to Edit once again, select Delete. This will clear your whole music library. Connect you iPod and let it sync. It will delete everything in your iPod. The problem with this is that it will delete all your music in iTunes as well so you better back it up elsewhere.

Solution 2. Go to iTunes, connect your iPod, let it sync. Do not disconnect your iPod. On the left hand side of the screen you will see "Library", "Store", "Devices", etc. Go to "Devices" and you will see your iPod's name there. Click on it and you will see on the right hand side of your screen your iPod, with some menus tabs. On the first tab (Summary), make sure that "Sync only checked songs" is activated. Then go to the second tab ("Music"). Make sure "Sync music" is activated and "Selected playlists" is also activated. Make sure NONE of the playlists is activated. At the bottom right hand side of the scree there is a button that says "Sync". Press it and it will sync no songs into your iPod. That should clear the songs but leave the contents in iTunes intact. If you want to put some playlists in your iPod, then check only those and only those will be added to your iPod.

Hope this helps.
