If your music still plays and the iPod is recognized by iTunes when you plig it in, make sure you have all of your music backed up on you computer's hard drive.

You should plug the iPod into your computer and use iTunes to restore the factory settings. If you download music off of P2P software like Limewire, You may have had a virus that slipped past your virus scan software. There could also have been an issue with one of the automatic updates.

If this doesn't work, you should try the apple.com troubleshooting site. It's generally very good.

if it is an iPod touch, Hold down the sleep button and the home button together until the screen flickers and you then see an apple logo. If it is an iPod classic ,nano (except the latest), mini, hold down the select and play button together until the screen flickers and you see an apple logo.

Ipod frozen

Calm down and don't panic. Take the hold switch and slide it back and forth. Then, press the center circle button and the menu button untill you see a apple. Now your ipod mini will be fixed.

Ipod mini screen freezing

How to manually reset a frozen iPod mini:
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, which takes about 6 to 8 seconds.

Ipod is frozen on now playing w/out playing and wont connect to pc.Is there a reset botton or procedure?

This is a common problem with the ipod mini. luckily it is easy to fix :) to reset the ipod; toggle the hold switch on then off, then hold the center button and play/pause at the same time until you see the apple logo this could take up to 10 seconds. you may need to repeat the procedure. and your ipod will still have all its data but should work like new!

contact me if you have questions or if it doesnt work as you hoped, and i can give you further help!

Ipod frozen on language screen

I have been reading other posts and supposedly the problem with the language screen is that the link inside the ipod for the lock button has come unhooked and needs to be hooked back. I will post the link so you can read about it for yourself. I think this means you have to open up your ipod. Read some of the posts in this website for more info. No official word on fixing the problem. Just suggestions. http://www.command-tab.com/2006/03/31/fixing-a-frozen-ipod/
