Question about Computers & Internet
The most popular options are programs like Norton Antivirus or McAfee Antivirus, which will protect your computer against all of the latest viruses. These programs require a monthly fee to run though.
If you aren't looking to spend a lot of money, there are also some very powerful antivirus programs that do not cost anything. I would recommend either AVG Antivirus or Avira Antivirus. Both of those programs will protect against just as much as Norton or McAfee, but lack some of the more advanced features of the paid programs.
Any of the programs I've mentioned should be enough to get rid of your current problem.
You should also install Spybot Search & Destroy, which will protect you against spyware, which will endanger your privacy as well as slow down your computer.

AVG free edition should do the trick, but the safest way to get rid of a virus is reformatting your hard drive.
