Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS100 32" TV
In the middle of the game, the TV hummed for 2 seconds and went black.
I unplugged the TV for 1 minute and plugged it in again - no power/black screen.
The cable is on, and working, and the power outlet is fine, because my DVD player works fine.
The rear of the TV says Model:32S22
Serial #: 8118902
Also, It says April 1998.
Is this repairable?
It is repairable.Open the TV and check the fuse and then the flyback transformer for any loose soldering. check for obvious burnt transisters, resistors, capacitors etc. the flyback is the component that has a wire to the picture screen on the inside of the TV. Be careful. Capacitors and picture tubes retain high current. If you don't know what your doing take it for repair.
