Self-Clean Option does nothing

When I switched my oven into self-clean for both the temperture and method (i.e Bake, Grill, Auto, Self-Clean).
It LOOKS fine. The lights are on and the door is locked. However....I feel it doesn't work. After 30min or 1hr I closed/cancelled the option, open the oven and the interior is cold/room temperture.

Any Tips how to fix it?

(I can't find the exact model for this product. I know its Admiral, but

I can set a timer...if that's what you mean. But my logic is that if i were to leave it on for an hour or so, the temperature inside the open should rise, right? However, when I turned the self-clean option off after an hour or so (because I feel is doing nothing) I open the oven and the inside temperature is blank (room temperature)

Hotpoint SD97PI oven self cleaning funtion and grill not working

The oven temperature is regulated by a temperature sensor when placed in self clean the sensor is removed from the circuit and full power is applied to both the bake and broil elements causing an the temperature to exceed in some some models up to 1,000 F. I would recommend against using self clean for the simple fact that no oven cavity to this date has been designed to withstand that high of a temperature and therefore excess heat is passed upward resulting in damaged lock mechanisms, control boards, and other electronic components. The most common complaint I have had with built in ovens besides the element burning out, is the oven door locked shut. When I get to the house and I ask to tell me a little bit of whats going on the story always starts " well, I was using the self clean option" or some variation of the sort.

try turning your breaker off for 20 minutes, then try it again,, if this does not help it could have burnt out a element or the main board has went out,,, also make for sere you are getting the full 220 volts to the unit,, this will involve taking the unit out

Hi,
The self clean or self destruct mode has burnt a wire, the relay, or the control...

A tech with an electrical meter will need to check through the wiring and see what burnt up...

Have a GE Electric Cook Top oven with digital

Unplug the stove. plug back in and program a short clean cycle. If this does not fix it is eithe the selector switch or the electronic control. Verifying the switch contacts with a meter is the only way to be sure.

Whirlpool oven issue

Usually, when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.
