Try this temporary cure given by HP, until they release a patch. It will give you access to the Hp director. It worked for some people, just pay attention to the instructions it gives you>> http://www.geocities.com/contacthptech/hp1.js It will probably ask for your HP instalation CD.

*Drop me a comment if you still have problems. I will assist you.

Tip

Fix missing .dll file message.

Have you ever gotten a message on your computer saying that you are missing a dll file? I have gotten many of these messages and though a lot of people don't know it, it's one of the easiest problems to fix. dll files are basically how a program talks to the computer to tell it that it needs something. It may be something like it needs to print something. Without these dll files your program may be completely worthless. I did't do anything. How did my file go missing? This is a good question and there a lot of ways a dll file can go missing. You may have a virus on your computer that deleted it. It may have gotten corrupted some how and is unusable. The good and bad thing about dll files is they can be used by more than one program. It's bad because it may mess more than one of your programs up if it goes missing but its good because they are more widely available. Now, how do I get my dll file back. here is where it gets so easy. There are so many sites on the internet that offer dll files for download. My favorite happens to be dll-files.com but a quick Google search will reveal many more. All you have to do is go to this site and copy or type your missing dll file into the search bar. When the results return just go through the few steps to download it. After you've downloaded it you may need to extract it. If so you will need a program like winzip or winrar. Just right click on the file and select extract here. When you have just the dll file the only thing left to do is place it in the location that the message says its missing from. All done now you can enjoy your programs working the way you want them to.

How to repair missing wininet.dll?

If you see an error related to the wininet.dll file being deleted or missing, copy this file from the c:\windows\system32 directory of a working Win XP Pro
or Win Vista computer onto a flashdrive, then use the following procedure to copy it onto the failing system.

  1. At the boot screen (the first thing to appear at power-up), hit the F8 function key.
  2. Select 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt' and continue.
  3. In the command prompt window, type the letter of your flash drive, either d: or e: until the drive appears as e:> in the prompt window.
  4. Type 'dir' to see the wininet.dll file on that flashdrive.
  5. Once you see that file, type 'copy wininet.dll c:\windows\system32'.
  6. Unplug the flashdrive and reboot the failing PC.
Once you succeed in reviving the failed computer, go to c:\windows\system32 and right click on the wininet.dll file then copy and paste it to a save name (recommended name: wininet-copy.dll). This allows direct copy of that file back into wininet.dll if the problem reoccurs.

If you suspect an anitvirus engine or some other application deleted this file - and if it occurs again, make note of what was being performed, immediately before the failure mode. This will lead you to the offending program needing attention.

Good luck, hope this helps.

My problem is I have a printer and I cannot install it because the file wiafdrv.dll on windowsxp home editon cd-rom is needed an do not have one.

Do you have a Lexmark printer? I found this dll file and many of the comments about it relate to Lexmark printer issues. Click the below link and it will download your missing dll file. I searched for "wiafdrv.dll" and there were no hits for this dll, but there was one for the dll file "wiafbdrv.dll". Make sure before clicking the link below, that this is the correctly named dll file you need.

Extract this file and place the dll file in the correct location as specified by the error you're receiving.

32.dll missing problem

32.dll is not a windows file,Is any file name written before the 32?
If not it is probably part of a virus that was not completely removed.
If you can log in to windows,do a search for 32.dll and delete(DO NOT DELETE IF ANYTHING IS WRITTEN BEFORE 32)
If you can't log in,You may need to do a fresh install.

Please rate this solution.

The hp director has a problem at scan it ask for a disk to be incerted. it should scan and ask for e- mail or fax what is the problem

When your printer was installed it was with a disk, its looking for that disk again so it can load a driver or dll. It wants to know where that disk is, or where the file it is looking for is located. The director will read that disk or file and load what it wants so your scan will work. In short. You need that Installation Disk. Good Luck.
