I have the same problem. I have them hooked up to a home theater set up and if the volume is too low on the TV, they crackle until the volume is turned up enough to make the red LED lights solid...I always seem to have the crackle with just one of the speakers. I am at a loss why it happens.

I have a low red light on my amp and no sound coming out of my sub, any help please

Check the wire connections from the amp to the sub. Connect them to any other speaker instead of your sub. If you hear sound the problem is your sub. If you do not the problem is that your amp is not supplying a sound signal to your sub.

Boston Acoustics subwoofer keeps cutting out

Some subwoofers have a turn-on delay circuit at the input to prevent "popping". Unless the input remains at a certain level, the delay circuit turns off the sub. The only solution I have found is to change to another sub that is not so protective

Boston Acoustics CS26 Speakers sound cuts out for over a second at higher volumes tested using two different amplifiers same problem. Does not seem to be related to amp distortion:clipping protectio

It sounds like the speaker cones(if that is what they have) get hung up against the back of the case. No vibration=no sound. Check to see that there is no hum adding to the pressure on the speakers. Check to see that the speakers are hooked to the correct impedence output of the amplifier. Also, wire length affects impedence and shortening the wires might help.

Boston Acoustics VR 950 speaker (tweeters) have static when playing music with a lot of piano. Clean as a whistle (no problems) with acoustic (guitar), though. Are the tweeters blown, or is there...

Don't blame the speakers just yet. Check your PC's audio controls to make sure it's not modifying anything and that your speakers are defined as speakers, not headphones.

Try running UNripped music to them. Solo piano is a difficult signal to reproduce.

Nice amp, huh? I have one plus some Cubes.

I miss some cables of the Digital BA735. Which cables I have to purcahse?

You need a set of RCA cables, Red & White, you will need two sets. The Cables, simply wire color to color. You nay also need, some adapters, if you cannot get RCA to Phono Jack, on one end. To make with PC, Output Socket, you need an 3.5mm Phono, Jack, and on the other end, the RCA, for connection to the Speakers

Boston Acoustics VR960 Crackle

I just finished repairing one of my VR960 units with a similar problem. My problem was that the sub would crackle no matter what input level. After changing a few of the active components, I finally discovered it to be a capacitor which was faulty. Anyway, I replaced the three 100uf 25V capacitors on the main board and all was well.

Good Luck.
