Hold the mode button down for about 3 seconds or until the alarm time starts flashing. Use start/stop button to select what number on the display to change. Use reset button to change the number. Push mode button again to return to normal operation.

To change the time, hold the mode button down for about 3 seconds until the numbers flash. Then release mode button and then press it once again. The time programming screen should be showing. Use start/stop to select the numbers on the display to change. Use reset button to change the number. Use mode button to exit programming.

My 3 yr old Respironics CPAP has stopped putting out the pressure it is supposed to. Still works and still show 12.5 Lb - but is 1/2 as strong - maybe less.

if have pressure gauge u can check that if your using a manual machine the pressure will be constant as the set pressure is 12.5 and there will be ramp which will start with lower pressure and reach to 12.5 as per the set timings and if you are using a automatic mcahine no need to worry.

Serial numbers on oxygen tanks

I have never heard of such a program in 40 years of dealing with compressed gases. I would be more concerned with the last test date on the top of the bottle. The topmost and biggest stamp is the last hydro test date. It consists of a number for the the month then a symbol then a number for the year. All pressurized cylinders which are regulated by DOT (Dept. of Transportation). Absolutely NOBODY will fill that bottle with anything if that date is five years old or more. If it is, no problem, you send it in for a "Hydro Test" to recertitfy it for five more years for about $40. The rest of the numbers aren't anything as important as the last hydro test date. The gas in the bottle has nothing to do with the DOT regulations. It's all about pressure.

There is no mist coming out of the neb machine.

No! don't buy a new machine. First wash the mask, tubes and any other washable part really well by hand. There could be some dryed on fluid blocking the flow of the liquid. Then make sure that the part where you put the liquid does not have liquid on top of the ******** part. Usually a bit of shaking off of the liquid or using a paper towel to dry that part off should help. If this doesn't work let the nebulizer dry out overnight with all parts seperate. I constantly have these kinds of problems with my nebulizer and these seem to do the trick if these don't work then you might need a new machine.

Nebulizers problem

There are two main types of nebulizers: jet and ultrasonic devices. Jet nebulizers form droplets by using a compressor to deliver a pressurized jet stream of air down a narrow tube and through an opening. This creates a vacuum (through the Venturi effect), thus drawing liquid from a reservoir. The resultant small droplets of liquid are propelled out of the machine by the continued jet stream. Ultrasonic nebulizers produce aerosolized droplets using high-frequency sound waves generated by a special crystal. Liquid drug is usually delivered to the crystal, where it forms a thin layer. Electricity excites the crystals, causing them to vibrate at extremely high frequency. This vibration forces the thin liquid layer through an adjacent mesh, creating a fine mist. Droplet size varies with the frequency of the sound waves created by the vibrating crystals.

Nebulizers question

Nebulizers deliver aerosolized liquid medicine by a facemask or mouthpiece. Successful nebulizer therapy does not depend on significant patient cooperation or coordination. This is useful in the treatment of pediatric asthma, and the NIH recognizes the nebulizer as an effective delivery device for young children.
