So I'm on the phone, and bam, i hear a beep and i'm talking to myself.
i look at my G1 and sure enough, i have just received a text message.
the network seems to be quite strong, i don't have any additional
texting applications, and this has happened a lot more than once
(possibly with e-mail notifications too, but i haven't verified that
yet). i have checked forums and my phone settings for some resolution
as to why i get disconnected upon notification, but I've come up with
nothing so far.
Re: G1 disconnects call when notification received
There is an application called missed call in the androind market u can change colors for the led light, its cool. another cool thing about this app is its "unique volume control" for different volume controls.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

sure. just connect your usb wire the big end to your computer the small end to the phone. then a moment later a notification at the top of your screen appears saying usb connected. then drag that notification menu down and tap the usb connected notification to bring up an option to mount or not mount. choose mount. now on your computer open my computer where you see c drive and d drive. look for removable disk. then click on it and you'll see some folders open the audio or music folder and leave it open. open my computer again this time look for the folder where you keep your music. now when you get there drag music files from you music folder to your g1 audio. it will copy it to your g1 and once you are done unmount your g1 and bring up your music and your new files shoul be in there.
hello, seems like awhile ago but i hope i can help still.. no software is required to manage your sd card on the g1. what you need to do is plug the g1 to the computer using the usb cable. then when that happens you should get a notification on the top of the g1 screen saying usb connected. then you put your finger on the notification tab and drag it down. click on the option in the notification screen. then select to mount to access your g1. then on you computer you should get a screen asking how you want to view files. if that doent work go to my computer and you should see removabe disk and thats your phone.
1. Make sure the microSD card is inserted in the phone.
2. Plug the phone into the USB slot on your computer using the G1 USB cable.
3. Watch the notification bar at the top of the G1 main screen. After
the computer connects on the USB port, you will see a small USB icon
appear on the notification bar.
4. Drag the notification bar down and select the USB connection
notification. A popup will appear asking you if you want to mount the
microSD card on the computer. Select "mount." After a second, the PC
should detect the card.
5. You can now copy files to and from the card like any other USB storage device.
When you're finished, open the Music app, and select the Songs icon and
you should see all your music files listed. The phone will read the
files and sort them by album name and artist name as well.
Make sure that when you attach your phone using the USB cable, and the notification comes up on your phone, you press mount. Otherwise it won't work. Then your phone should come up as a drive on your computer e.g. F:/Drive. You should be able to copy and paste your files directly into this drive.
I found the solution to that problem its because something was deleted when updated but heres how it works. first connect usb to phone and then connect usb to computer as soon as you do that on your phone select menu and then select notifications and then usb connect and everything should be fine. Good Luck.
I wanted to unlock my G1 i recently purchased on ebay and I was not aware that its simlocked. I googled for almost half a day and I found that its impossible to unlock G1 any free method. There is many sites offering codes but most of them looked very unprofessional but at least some looked ok to me. I gave a try to FastGSM. Their service was amazing! I got code in less then 15 minutes and its price was just 20 usd. Some other sites was asking double money for same job.
Try the "hard reboot". /1/ Unplug power from base station. /2/ Disconnect battery in each handset. /3/ Wait a few minutes. /4/ Reconnect battery. /5/ Re-plug-in power to base station. /6/ Place handset in base station, and wait a few minutes for it to recover. You may have to reset time/date and/or the handset ##.
